Today, my 14 year old lab mix, Petee, finally lost his battle with declining health and passed away in the early afternoon hours.

It really hasn't sunk in yet that he is no longer in my garage. He's been with me for pretty much all of my American life so far, and just had a fifth sense for when you needed a companion.

In other words...he will be missed :rose:

As I said in the email.....I'm sorry for your loss Moey.

I was lucky to meet Petee twice and he was a sweet doggy.

Keep your chin up Moey, you gave him so much love and a really nice home that he may not of had if it wasn't for you.

What a rotten day. One of my good friends where I live posted a little while ago that her mother died, and Petee also. What is so weird is I have actually met and sat and talked to her mother many times. I have never met Moey or Petee, but I felt worse about Petee.

Thank you for your comments...they mean a lot.

It was a very weird day. It started out with the news that the husband of one of my best friends passed away, then I learned that kinfolks of another close friend of mine were missing after a boating accident..and one is presumed dead..and then Petee passed away. It did end on a smurfy note though with a visit to the movie theater :D

My grandmother is taking Petee's death especially hard..she hasn't been around when my other pets died so this is a new experience for her and like Dyar said, Petee was a very kind and nice dog so we all felt close to him.

BTW..not sure what it is with Dyar and dogs....all of mine ate out of his hands..and last year he had Georgie (a very hyper dog) practically hypnotized with love...must be from constantly being in the dog house ..(Dyar..not Georgie who prefers to be on top of the doghouse) :)

Sorry to hear/read about Petee, it´s always hard when one of our loved ones (be it pets or not) die. :(

But at least he had a good life, and that´s more than many other animals in this world have. :-D

RIP Petee! :rip:
Hope you´ll be happy in doggy heaven. :dogrun:
