Hi Maureen,

I started collecting during the eighties after my brother gave me the fishing super smurf as a gift. I stopped when they disappeared from U.K stores and started again in 2006 when I saw them for sale on ebay! I eventually retrieved my childhood collection from my parents attic and thought I'd get the ones I was missing. I did not realise that my original collection of about 70 was such a small percentage of the figures produced! Ideally I would like to obtain at least one good example of each figure produced! Smurf collecting is far too addictive!

P.S. The blueimps collection website and this forum have been extremely helpful and informative. Thankyou.

:hiya: Welcome to the best forum on the net! Many of us UK folk have similar stories. You wait until you discover the joys of variations, fakes, non-pvc items, etc. I'll be surprised if you don't succumb! :) :)

Welcome to the forum :welcome: It's great to see another UK smurfer
Long, long ago, deep in the forest, there was a hidden village where tiny creatures lived. They called themselves the Smurfs. They were good.

:welcome: from me too.

I have learnt so much about smurfs from this forum & by looking at other members' websites too.

I hope you enjoy yourself here. Btw 70 smurfs are quite a lot actually. It took ages until I had that many myself :D
