Well, there's either a 5 year old and a 0 year old that are genius paintors, or I just don't believe they the ones that made those works of art.

Speaking of ebay, I'm surprised none of the raw smurfs have popped up yet :-? I have been checking ebay France since Friday but not a one yet. I wonder if everyone in France are going to keep theirs :) :)

Long, long ago, deep in the forest, there was a hidden village where tiny creatures lived. They called themselves the Smurfs. They were good.

I for one hope that someone out there will sell them on ebay.. seeing how that is the only way I would ever even have a chance at getting one :???:
Wonder what the price will be for one of those :-? :-?

Gerda, anything over 10€ is/will be too much.
For that, it would be better to wait and see where the next cities will be, and then order 1 or 2 smurfs to the lucky member that's lucky enough to live in the city or nearby.

As it seems like the promotion in each smurfed city will last longer than a day (just one day to grab the free smurfs) but plenty of days to find a unicef stand and buy a smurf. ;)

To any member who will be lucky enough to grab some PLEASE think of me (poor little old me living up here in the middle of nowhere, all alone crying over the little smurfy's that wont visit me) :-( :-( Ok just a little taste of my pleading and feeling sorry for myself bit..

Seriously though if anyone is lucky enough to find these or even have to buy it from the unicef stand think of me as you will get your money back as I want one :gimme:

That goes without saying, Gerda! If I am lucky enough to get close to any of these little cuties, I will get as many as possible - then send one to forum members like yourself. Also, Steve and Azrael live in London..... We will all meet up....so that's 3 members collecting smurfies!!! :-D

Hopefully these aren't going to start making high prices as I am sure there will be plenty of them around. :fingersx:

I still haven't heard anything back from IMPS but I am still hopeful we might have some good news from them. :fingers:

My opinion is that IMPS should think about what is happening and will happen on ebay next months...They have left some FREE smurfs in Angouleme´s streets and some people is earning money but not IMPS...They should give the chance to all collectors of smurfs items to get one directly from them...So the price wouldn´t be so high, and people wouldn´t use the free smurfs to full their pockets!!!!!

I hope some of these sellers are also raising additional money for Unicef :-D

I couldn't agree more Joaquin, I hate todays culture of 'free' things always ending up on ebay.

I think they, IMPS/Unicef, should set up an online sale, for all those that wish to buy a smurf but won't be lucky enough to be in one of the choosen cities.

That way money would be going to the children instead of greedy ebay sellers. :x

But that's just me.

I understand everybody's sentiment and anger at the sellers...but let's face it...
if there weren't any buyers...the sellers wouldn't be making any money of it.

I for one hope that ebay will be overflown with these smurfs, this will be the only way to keep the prices down. At least in this case, IMPS didn't make a secret out of it as it did with the BASF smurf, which caught everybody totally off guard, and everybody knows they are bidding on a smurf somebody picked up at the side of the road and is being sold by IMPS for 10 euros

Ebay is a buyer's market in that the buyer decides for how much an item will be sold :-?

Well said, Moey....I personally wouldn't bid too high on any of the Unicef smurfs and after the first few on ebay, I bet the prices will be quite stable if not lower than the 10 euro because IMPS has made it pretty public what is going on with these smurfs, whereas, like Moey said, the BASF smurfs were a big mystery. Don't forget the BASF were free to people too and no money went to any charity at all in that case.
