Lia helped me buy this Angry from Holland. It is the one with only peyo-markings on the arm.

Strange that it has these holes under the feets. Frank told me his Angry with this marking also has these small holes!! :-?

Odd, I know I don't have any smurfs with holes like that.

Postby André » Mon Mar 12, 2012 8:14 am
Yes, it is strange. But we have seem holes on other smurfs, like cleaner, groom etc. But as you say they look slightly different.

Otherwise the smurf is just as the first emblem-angry. Both have the peyo-marking on the arm on the same place. Injectionplace is the same, black paint is the same, material is the same. Eyes are a bit more orange, but that could just be mine?? And as the other early smurfs without emblem it don´t have any cavitynumber.

The front of the BP Shield magazine from april 1970, Lia showed in another thread, probably shows the smurfs BP used for the promotion. But we know Schleich made the Spy and Gold also. And since the spy mold was made 1966, it probably also was used in this promotion. Maybe they used some smurfs a shorter while compared to others?? :-?

I think it is a bit odd that the papa with peyomarking is way more common compared to the other smurfs without emblem. Maybe Schleich did not add the emblem to that mold until late 1971, because the first emblemvariation is pretty rare??

Hard to know exactly.

Yes, I have quite a few with those holes myself, but all of them were made at a later date (going by the mold and PVC)...this one is strange and interesting. It looks one of the soft PVC smurfs, is that correct? Do you know if other smurfs from that era have holes under their feet?

I got gas attendant with holes. I never figured out why the figurines were "marked" like this.

Postby André » Mon Mar 12, 2012 8:38 am
the angry is exactly the same soft material as the one with this emblem Maureen. I have not seen any other with holes like that. When they changed the mold and made 4 cavities and added more markings they changed the feets slightly.

It is a bit odd with these emblems.

As you see the one with cavity 3 has the newer emblem. Same as you see on the last variation made before the emblem was removed on picture 2.

I don´t have a cavity 1 of the first variation. Maybe there are 2 old emblem-variations.

1. Old emblem with w germany and peyo on the arms.
2. New emblem but still w Germany and peyo on the arms.
3. New emblem and markings moved to under the feets.

Do anyone have any emblemvariations different from the ones on the first picture.

I mean, for example a cavity 3, with the old emblem. Or a cavity 2 or 4 with the new emblem. And still markings on the arms. So not the last emblem-varition. :D I hope I did not made it to complicated now!!

Hi Andre,

It is a bit odd, Tommo!

but Schleich still has this on the Groom with the addressmarking I think!

We talked about this in this thread: http://forum.bluecavern.com/viewtopic.p ... ight=holes

It would be interesting to see if anyone has the one with only peyo markings and no holes?? :-?

Hi,

I listed these Angry-variations on my website. Off course there are slightly different variations included in these also, like shiny and matte paint, soft and hard material. But still with the same markings, so they are just described but not listed. Would you say there are more??

1.Unmarked
2.Only peyo-marking on arm.
3.Old emblem. W Germany and Peyo on arms.
4.New emblem. W Germany and Peyo on the arms.
5.New emblem. W Germany and Peyo under feets.
6.Removed emblem. Black gum.
7.Removed emblem. Red gum.
8.Made in Portugal.
9.Large mold Hongkong.
10.Large mold.
11.Minimodels Angry.
12. Large Mold with addressmarking. From the 2011 decade boxes.

I think maybe also made in portugal with red gum is a variation.

Do many of you have that variation?

It seems the red gum Angry with portugalmarkings is a variation also that many collectors have so that one should also be on the list I think. :-D
