Hi
a webdatabase is a good idea.

But every one how feel free to work on something like this
can do it with http://www.wikia.com/Wikia

Have a lock at http://de.schlumpf.wikia.com/wiki/Schlumpf_Wiki
this is still in German,
but we can open a new Wika called "smurff....." or so.
So itś very easy for everybody to put information in the Wika,
some people can work on formulas, other can fix the design and so on.

a wikisite could also be a nice idea to collect smurfinformations.

but in our case the main goal for the databse will be the possibility to keep track of your collection. that is not possible with a wikisite.
and later on also to find easily trading-partners for specific smurf-variations or even other smurfy stuff.

okay, Simon has now finished a first prototype that we can open for others to try.

who would like to join us in testing the prototype and help us with their thoughts, ideas, suggestions...?

at the moment it would be Maureen and Smurf1303 that offered their help.
Tojo, Tintin, André ... are you interested or someone else?

Maureen, should we than start using the forum for the Database? There i could post the link to the database.

Hi Guido,

I think all ideas that could get more collectors interested in smurfs are good ideas. And it will be very interesting to see how your website evolves.

When the BSCC started I was asked to help them and I said yes. But pretty fast I understood that I did not had that extra time to help them. So therefore I don´t want to make such promises again. :D I have 3 kids, wife and a job, so I think there are other collectors with more spare time, who would be more suitable in helping you testing it. :D

I can help with pictures and information, just like I do here on the forum, but as said before I will only have limited time and that time is depending on other things happening in life, more important than my hobby, smurfs!!

In Sweden the smurfs are blue ( and yellow).

Hi André,
no problem i understand that - you wrote about it before.
We will be happy when we can use your information about the variants.

We will not use any photos from other users without asking them. And for the test we might not need other photos than our own, depending on who is participating :?

And I hope that we can create such a good website that everyone using it later feels like okay that way it is fun to keep track of a collection and easy to help update it with needed information and photos
