No prizes, just for fun.
I'll give you some titles of UK n° 1 hits of the 1980s, and you'll give the artist. Simple, isn't it? I'll of course look for the harder ones, no "Beat it" or so. I have to say that I don't remember most of them (I would probably recognise them when I heard them though).
Oh, please, no Googling or web searching, I want to know whose knowledge of the bad music of the plastic era is up-to-date :-D

1. "Coward of the county"
2. "Together we are beautiful"
3. "Green Door"
4. "Seven Tears"
5. "My camera never lies"
6. "Save your love"
7. "Candy girl"
8. "Give it up"
9. "I know him so well'
10. "If I was"
11. "I want to wake up with you"
12. "Every loser wins"
13. "Jack your body"
14. "She's leaving home"
15. "One moment in time"
16. "First time"
17. "You'll never stop me from loving you"
18. "Swing the mood"
19. "That's what I like"
20. "Let's party"

They are ordered chronologically. Some are by famous artists, more are by forgotten wonders, and three songs are even by the same artist.

As a bonus: two songs with the title "The power of love" were a N° 1 record in the eighties, and furthermore reached in a third version N° 11. One of the three got covered in the 1990s and reached then number 4. Can you name the four artists?

:D  Good ones! It isn't sad, I was amazed that I knew so many of the other ones still. I think it is more sad that you can have a number one single and be completely forgotten a few years later...

Great!!!

So we only need the answers to 4 (Seven tears) and 14 (She's leaving home), and the artist that covered "The power of love" in the nineties (hint: she is very very famous).

I have never heard of the artist of Seven Tears, and after checking in another list, it turns out that "She's leaving home" was a double A-side with the perhaps better known "With a little help from my friends" That may explain why you didn't know it :D

Celine Dion is correct, and for 14, it is Wet Wet Wet together with another artist.
We still need number four, but I doubt anyone will get this...
