I am guessing that this is something similar to geocaching, but I have found no way to actually purchase anything specific. It appears you have to be a member and trade tags for tags (they do not like people to sell them). I noticed they had quite a few Smurf designs

My favorite with no luck figuring out how to get a hold of one?

I think they are somewhat related to geocaching where people use GPS to hide things and treasure hunt. The hobby has evolved to include objects that are traceable on a web site via a unique number. Like bugs (coins or little metal dog tag like things) are taken when found and then put somewhere else. How far they travel can be seen on the site. A person can make a specific request that a bug visits each state or makes it to a certain one. That's the whole game really. Someone finds these things based on GPS info and some clues and then hides it somewhere else for another person to continue the hunt. I think pathtags are somewhat like this, but I'm not quite sure. :-?

Interesting..I have never heard of it..and never been into geocoaching much.

I know some people over here do a different kind of geo-coaching or treaure hunting when they buy special equipment to find old Indian artifacts in the woods...not sure if that is related :-?

Would be great to learn more of it, if you find out more...

Sorry I can't help..like I said, I've never heard of it until you posted about it :?
