Hi! I've a lot of spare gardeners smurfs and a lot of wheelbarrows. How can I understand if some gardeners are 2.0028 or 4.0206? What are the difference between the two smurfs?

Thanks :D

Hi Luppolo, I am not 100% sure without going to check but I am pretty sure the figures are the same and it is only the cart that makes the difference. As far as I know off the top of my head, both smurfs are available in what I call the smaller and larger molds. :D

Can anyone alse confirm this please. :?

Yep...I think you're correct Rach in that the smaller & larger molds were sold with the wheelbarrow (super smurf) & without like the regular smurfs. I am not too sure on the markings though but I think that any Gardeners with "CE" markings came from the playsets but that is something that would need to be checked as I am not sure what year these Gardeners (super & regular) were stopped being made on their own.

The thing is that we buy a lot of smurfs from different places and it's very hard to tell if any Gardeners we bought with the Wheelbarrow actually originally came with the wheelbarrow or was added by someone else along the way. Some of these smurfs have been around for decades and have had more owners than I actually want to know about. :)

I guess the best thing to do is to try to match the markings on the Wheelbarrow up with the markings on the Gardener smurfs the best you can......and if you or anyone has a spare Hong Kong Wheelbarrow can they please contact me as my one is broken. :(

One question ....

Did anyone ever seen a packaged "gardener with a green wheelbarrow" ?
I suspect that all the green wheelbarrows are coming from playset "number 1".
I got this "rare" gardener with green wheelbarrow with this playset....
It's a kind of allowed cheating :-D

Nope, never seen them together, but that doesn't say to much. I suppose Tessa-Dennis or Dyar or Rachel or any of the other big collectors may know more.
:sheep: Bored of normality, why not go smurf? :sheep:

Well I will pass the buck to the experts Rach & Dennis.

....as far as I know it was only ever released in Playset 1. It wouldn't surprise me if this was the only way it was sold.....however the really dark green Furniture was made for the Alfred J Kwak figures...I am guessing that they had the Wheelbarrow too although I cannot confirm that. I think I have at least 4 different shades of the green furniture including the Kwak variation...but only 2 different greens in the Wheelbarrow. One defiantely came with the Playset (light green CE) and the other was bought separately with the Gardener loose (dark green Schleich Emblem) so it was impossible to tell the origins.

Thanks everyone!! I've all the wheelbarrows with the W.Germany Schleich emblem markings but no one of my smurfs have the same markings... In the super smurf version smurf and wheelbarrow have the same marking? All the smurfs with the Peyo markings only are sure 2.0028? Thanks :D

Aaaah, where is Dennis when you need him! :)

I am with you Dyar, I *think* they were the playset barrows. I can't be 100% sure but at least I don't think I have ever seen another collector claiming to have a green wheelbarrow super as an original on a website. :-?

I should point out that I don't think there ever was a W Germany Schleich Emblem variation of the Gardener so it would be hard to match the Wheelbarrows with those markings :banghead: ....I shoudl of mentioned that. However there are Hong Kong Gardeners & Wheelbarrows which match perfectly and there are also CE markings on both Gardeners & Wheelbarrows that would match. I guess the WG Schleich Emblem ones will have to go with the Peyo or other W Germany markings.......yes, where are you Dennis :) ....I am sure Dennis will help when he comes back from holidays.
