I received a package from Michelle today which contained a copy of the Hanna Barbara guide for sketching smurfs. There are 149 pages all up and include all of the characters and different points to be aware of when drawing. I love it and will be learning how to draw smurfs over the summer...lol.

Here are 6 of the 149 pages:

Hi Dyar, I agree it is an absolutely fantastic item to have. I am with you, I would have to try and learn to draw smurf with this kit, it makes it look so much fun. :-D

Why is it called "common sense" when it is so rare.......

GRRRRREAT!

I have to dig deep into my boxes someday, to produce one page (blueprint) of sketches Peyo made of papa (very early), probably around the time of the first animation (1965), as I bought them with some cells of those. Then we can compare how the Smurfs have changed!
But this is a great set, an even a copy would be so much fun to have. :mine:
:sheep: Bored of normality, why not go smurf? :sheep:

Wow Dyar, that is FANTASTIC...I wish I had one so that I could learn all the drawing tips :)
Long, long ago, deep in the forest, there was a hidden village where tiny creatures lived. They called themselves the Smurfs. They were good.

Wow Dyar! These look awesome. You'll have to scan all 149 pages for us all to print off :-D lol I used to draw smurfs back in primary school. But I haven't drawn one for many years. These would be a great guide!

Brad.

These would be great to share around but at 20 cents a photocopy at the library plus postage it could be pretty expensive to do :)...but if people really want these then a bit further down the track when I have more time I might be able to make it happen.

How cool are they? Nice item to have.

My smurf trading buddy is an Art teacher and when I first met her she had hand drawn all of the smurfs she had. I will see if she will photocopy them for me so I can show them off for her. They are rather lovely!!
