So here's the story.

We drive into the Walmart parking lot and Tracy says "You gals may as well get out and I will find a parking spot". So we got out of the car and started to make our way to the entrance when Tracy yells to me, "Tam, come here quick". I had no idea what was going on. I thought someone had fallen and needed help or something like that. So I ran over to the car, looking around for someone flailing about on the ground (cuz I would have been so much help  ) and Tracy says "Look at the car over there". So I checked it out and low and behold the nut job had a roller skate smurfette and a bunch on the Kinder soccer smurfs GLUED to the dash of the car. I WAS AND STILL AM MORTIFIED.
We did however, get a bit of a chuckle out of it and wondered if they owner would press charges if we broke into the car to "SAVE" ( :D ) the poor fellas.

So finally, Smurfs have been found at Walmart in Canada. Unfortunately, not for sale but tortured on the dash of a car.

Tam, you should of saved the little blue fellas....I am sure the big blue fellas would understand and not lock you up for merely doing your smurfing duty.

I actually got all excited for Canadians when I read the subject line about Smurfs found at Walmart.....that guy was just teasing although Syd would like to glue the Rollerskater so she didn't skate away from him all of the time.

The smurfs I had as a child were saved from being glued to the dashboard. My Dad wanted to glue the muso smurfs to his dashboard but I stole them instead to play with and he gave up on that idea and started buying them for me when he went to BP for petrol (by putting them on the company's petrol account of course.....apparently 40 cents was too much to spend on your son  so he never went to a BP with me unless he was working, despite constantly pointing out "look, there's a BP" and "do you need petrol cos there's a BP up there"....but all to no avail.

So it's a shame that it wasn't what we were hoping for Tam as far as retail smurfs being available but I am sure those smurfs crucified on the dashboard would of loved to of come with you. I am sure they appreciated you saying hello anyway......I just wonder if the owner was watching at the time thinking....who are these strange people staring into my van?

LOL Tam, you had me going there for a minute as well. I got all excited when I read the title. :)

Still nice to see smurfs, even in such a distressing state. I have spotted the odd McDonalds smurf hiding on dashboards of cars. :D

Just as well Syd didn't spot the rollerskater, I doubt anything would have stopped him getting in there!

Why is it called "common sense" when it is so rare.......

Actually I wonder what the owner would think when he hopped back into the vehicle and had seen his Rollerskater in dyar straits with torn clothing and (sorry Syd) more than likely crying her eyes out....then again, if she only hung around with kinders then maybe Syd will be the best thing she has come across for a long long time.....I think the height would help....then again :-?
