There are still plenty of smurfs in some of the Sydney Kmarts...I was there last Wednesday and they had had tons of supers and at least 2 Farms on the shelf. It seems the houses sold out along time ago and some of the smurfs have sold out while other smurfs are there in abundance. I think they get the new stock in Novemeber each year so keep checking if you go near one and let us know if anyone sees thatthey have stocked up again...I will do the same from Sydney.

This is interesting to hear. Kmart is pretty much gone from the USA. The company filed bankruptcy and closed every store in my area. Ironicly, in the "good old days" the places I bought smurfs from were Spencer Gifts (a gag gift and novelty item store), Hallmark Card shops, and truck (juggernaut) stop restaurants!

Kmart is pretty much gone from the USA.

There are still a couple of Kmarts here on the east coast but most of them have gone under as well....Wal-mart has pretty much done them in!

I was hunting through the toy section going up and down each row trying to see if the smurfs had just been moved, but didn't find them. So I would guess the marion store, and probably west lakes store have probably taken their smurf stock off shelve, and probably now, only the main city DJ will have smurfs. Probably they couldn't get a large order from Schleich for new stock (due to kmarts purchases). So maybe only 1 main DJ store in each city will only carry smurfs from now on. Makes sense. The new toy catalogue should be out soon for them?? I got the 2003 one, but never got last years. Only saw it online.

Yeah, I've noticed that the houses have been out of stock for months. Well at least the large houses. Our city store when I was last there had quite a few small houses and 3 farm houses. Still heaps of supers (which I still need to buy). I've only brought 4 of the supers sofar. So I was quite disappointed yesterday when I couldn't buy another one. I don't make it down to DJ that often... and even less into the city.

And Kmart, my local still has at least 2 or 3 boxes on the counters.

Still haven't managed to find those latest smurf mini dvds. Checked the warehouse again today and none.

I thought someone would have posted this already!! Everyone recieve the new Kmart catalogue today in the mail?? Smurfs are again featured in it and Kmart now have NEW smurf stock, the small smurf houses! Finally! I was hoping Kmart would get in more smurf items. The houses are on sale for 19.95 each. But I'm sure we all have these already anyway. Maybe they'll have the large house or supers?? if not, maybe soon!

Excellent news Brad, Thanks for letting us know. It is good to see what is happening and that Kmart do intend to carry on selling smurfs. I just can't wait for the shops in the UK to start carrying smurfs, I am sure it will happen at some point, especially with the movie getting ever closer.

I went into Kmart this afternoon to take a look. They only had 1 small house left on the shelve. I think these would be selling quite well and it is only the first day of the toy sale. The house was in the toy section with all the care bears. But no other smurf items. I thought maybe they would have had the large house or some supers that they hadn't advertised, but nope. Hopefully they might get some in at some point. And I only counted 2 boxes full of smurfs.

Next time I am in Kmart (i.e. next time Jack drags me to look at Star Wars toys in the hope I buy him some) I will also have a look and see if they get anything new and exciting in.

I went into the city today to check out the Daivd Jones store. They still have smurfs! It looks like they have been given the Marion stock as there were a lot more smurfs. I grabbed all the supers I could. Five of them. Five from 6 I needed. They didn't have the Laptop Smurf. So that is the only super I've missed that I know DJ have had.

Today I brought:

40249 - Computer Smurf
40252 - Biker Smurf
40261 - Smurf on Holiday
40262 - Smurfette on Holiday

I just gave the top of my smurf unit a dust and re-positioned everything to display these new supers. I took a quick photo to post:

Nice pic Brad and congratulations on getting all of those new supers. Those large buildings really look nice too.....it must be like an early Christmas with 5 new supers in your collection.
