Hey, thought I'd just post this. In this weeks oz TV Week Magazine they have a Top 10 Villains feature and coming in at number 7 for them is Gargamel (with photo). Here is what they wrote:

7. GARGAMEL (The Smurfs)
As wizards go, Gargamel sucked — no matter how hard he tried, he never succeeded in capturing the Smurfs or learning their secrets. In fact, the scariest thing about Gargamel was his size — he was so much bigger than the Smurfs that they were in danger of being stood on as he and his feline friend, Azrael, stumbled about.

How cool Brad....now I want to know who the other 9 villans were. Actually, before you reveal who they were, maybe we could have some fun and try to guess the rest of them. Are they all cartoons or just TV villans in general? It might be helpful to know what citeria they voted these from.

Well these are Tv Weeks picks. And Gargamel is the only cartoon villain. They are just general tv villains. A few Australians, Americans and a robot!

A robot...must of been Dexter as he gave plenty of people on Perfect Match false hopes with his ridiculous love match ratings on Perfect Match.....ok, a bit before your time I guess Brad.

Hmm...I guess JR on Dallas was probably one of those....Patricia from Sons & Daughters.

I think Gargamel did pretty well to be voted as the only cartoon villan......considering most cartoons had a villan of some sort. Well done Gargy :D

I've seen the Perfect Match specials that have screened so I know what your on about with Dexter. Don't know if that was before my time in the 80s, but I don't have any memory of watching it. And no, Dexter isn't the robot villain.

I've never heard of Sons & Daughters.. never seen it. It is an Australian show isn't it? (before my time again lol). And you've got 1 right!! Pat the Rat (I guess is Patricia?). She comes in at number 6! Well done!

Maybe I should give the shows that the villains are from?

The colonel from the A-Team?
Big Brother (from Big Brother)?
The bad guy from Battlestar Galactica (you know, the human who had teamed up with the aliens)?
Alexis(?) from Dynasty (very faint memory, this)?
Bob (Twin Peaks)?
...
:sheep: Bored of normality, why not go smurf? :sheep:

Yep Brad, Sons & Daughters was a crap Austrlian soapie that started when I was 8 years old....my older sister had a crush on one of the guys in the show and so I was subjected to more episodes than I really wanted to see.

Is there anyone from Batman like Joker?...or Cigarette Smoking Man from the X Files?

Nope, none of those.

I'm only familiar with half this list, with only 3 in shows that I've watched.

5- The Daleks (Doctor Who)

Well done! :D

I can't think of any other evil robots in television.
Never watched Doctor Who so I don't know how evil these things are.

Maybe you should let us know what countries the remaining ones are from....asmost of the members here wouldn't have a clue if they were only Australian villains left.

It wouldn't be a judge from Australian Idol as the no.1 villain would it Brad?
...and Staci for no.3?
