I haven't given these smurfies a bath yet as I have just made sure they are all there so please excuse some of them if they look a little dirty...I think there are a couple that need an urgent bath....guess who wants to have a sick day tomorrow.

This is my last big package full of smurfs like this...I have one more big package to come but it has about 4 Bully displays a couple of houses and nowhere near as many smurfs as this so I know I have to enjoy it while it lasts as there could be a big drought for me for the remainder of the year. I really want to buy the Plastoys from Karen and maybe one of those large Astros too from Dirk so I need to get some money back on the credit card and also start saving for my trip to the US so I can meet up with a good friend of mine from Germany and also hopefully catch up with people like Gerda, Stace & Jim.....I think that would be more fun than all of my smurfs put together in my opinion.....just a shame that Christine has disappeared as it would of been cool to say hello to her as well.

Thanks for the nice comments and I hope I don't annoy anyone by waffling on about these packages and posting so many pics...if I do then I am really sorry.

Dyar

Your package was certainly a biggie Dyar. They seem to get bigger everytime! Have fun playing with them won't you.

Is the Kayak smurf the one with the blue dot you were interested in? So many lovely smurfs there - unbelievable!

Dyar have you been putting socks down your pant's again. You know i said i wouldn't tell anyone but its out there now
No no no don't besilly Lucie....putting socks down there does nothing for me really.....I am more into cushions these days.....they look a little out of proportion but I get a lot more stares than what I used to get....then again that could have something to do with the way I am forced to walk with cushions in that area.

Dyar

PS - It also acts as great protection :D

Sorry for being silly, seriously im sure you don't need protection . The brown car is really unusual. Is it a variation? I do really like the smurfs holding the burger.I have probably three variations of that one , i didnt realise that there were so many of those. I think if i were you with all those smurfs i wouldnt want to leave the smurf room. I hope you dont get too tired washing all those smurfs... If you do send them to me , i wil give you some help :D Lucie

WOW Dyar, that is a BIG package, lots and lots of lovely smurfs. You have some very nice ones in there too. Love the bodybuilder and the angler and the variations and the sockels and the supers........... in fact I love them all. :gimme: :gimme:

I am sure you are going to have some fun sorting through all of these, I get the feeling you may spend a bit of time playing with all those Jungles. :hyper:

Thanks for showing. :adore:

Hi Tojo

I doubt it would be that promo Kayak that I want. I haven't got around to organising that yet as my friend always seems to be in a different country or part of Germany these days so I will probably ask him once his travelling/work settles down a bit. I won't know for sure what the Kayak is until next week as I always sort through these by Schleich numbers so supers are towards the end of sorting process.....and last time it took me 11 days to go through everything

It would be nice if it was one of those blue dotted ones but I would very much doubt it. I only had one Kayak so it's nice to hopefully (fingers crossed) get another variation.....I do have one more coming in the next one as well......whenever that may be :-?

The brown car is actually kind of green or dark khaki. I will post a better pic of that one later as it does look very cool. It would definately be just a repaint as there are no known variations like this but I have all of the different variations of the car and I thought this looked really good so I couldn't help myself and had to have it....it's better painted than I would of thought though.

I have about 3-4 Hamburger variations too Lucie and I think besides a few slightly different tones that's all there probably are....but I am sure I will find something different among this lot....I either have a very good eye for spotting variations or I have a very bad habit of not letting any smurfs go :)

I have a new system now with washing...I get a bucket with soapy water and another bowl with just plain water to rinse them and I sit in front of the TV and watch a movie so I wash them in very comfortable conditions while being entertained. I did this last time and it was so much better than how I used to do it standing for hours.....if it does become a drag I will get you to help me out with some of them......how about a assign you the job of the Clowns & Tennis Players :)

I bet Mrs Dyar thought " Not again ", when you brought that parcel home !
Thanks guys...and yeah Graham...Mrs Dyar did roll her eyes when she saw this one. She didn't know this one was coming and just shook her head when she saw it.....it's ok though as she has had a bit of fun buying things lately but she does want an extra room in the house to put some of her things in .....and also wants to know why we have smurfs in the bedroom. If anyone has seen the music video clip for "Cold Shot" by Stevie Ray Vaughan then they may get an idea of how Mrs Dyar is feeling at the moment.

Thanks everyone :D

That army car is really cool. It's a shame the driver's helmet wasn't painted to match though.

I can just imagine Mrs Dyar's face when you brought that package in. I usually have to smuggle my smurfs in as Mrs Tojo thinks I'm a loony. She doesn't know yet that I bought the Drummer superset yesterday though she'll probably notice it soon :)

Yeah I agree Tojo...it would of been a lot better if they went the full military.....maybe they did and down the line I only ended up with the car half.

We all know about being thought of as looneys.....and I think she will notice the Drummer playset....it kind of stands out. I love the Drummer play/superset though and I still remember the day I first saw it right at the beginning of my collecting days.....I thought it was the best smurf item I had ever seen....afterall I was comparing it to the original regular drummer which doesn't quite stack up in magnificence.

good to see these larget pics of your new package items
The bigger pics do look better don't they....but most of the smurfs I received in the big package are just ordinary ones to most people that they have seen a thousand times and it would of taken so many pics to show them properly. Of course to me there is a stack of different markings and new variations in that lot so it's really exciting for me. I was able to finish off the Guitarist variations in the Katalog plus some after this lot (about 15 different variations) and I also finished off all of the markings of the Sunbathers except for the orange/white one of course....I had already completed the Mirror smurf but have added the Portugal one now as well. The Spy (Schleich Emblem only) was a new one for me as the only Schleich Emblem one I had in the past was a Hong Kong one. The Hong Kong Drummer had the W Berrie Co markings which also was a new variation for me that I didn't even know was coming so that was a nice surprise.....only up to 20023 so far...I have a looooooong way to go.

A cool discovery was the yellow/orange display case that you can see in the earlier pics with mostly fakes. It's actually a Bully display with "Bully West Germany" markings so that was also a nice surprise as I thought it was just a plain plastic thingy.

Hi dyar, thanks for posting the picture of your army car. I really think its so cool. Who ever painted it has done a great job. I agree it would have been cool if the smurfs helmet was painted to match. Your rohlinge smurfs are nice too. I bet you have had a really great smury week :D lucie

As long as they aren't whoopie cushions!

BTW, nice package :D

Nah Stace...definately no whoopie cushions......anyone who tells you that whoopie cushions enhances your chances are just full of hot air....plus the side affects are not very romantic if groped. ......and you can't always blame the dog when he's nowhere in sight.

Nice to have you home again Stace
