I noticed that handy smurf with the white mallet or hammer! very nice!!!

and all those variations!! the ballerina's with red mouth no mouth?

Thanks Steve, yeah I was pretty excited about this...it has been a while since I received a big lot of smurfs and now I plan to take my time and sort through them properly. I am hoping another big lot will leave Germany next week or the week after. It's a smurfy Christmas in July but I am thinking I better enjoy it while it lasts as I will need to save again which isn't as much fun.

One question, see you've got two corn on cob smurfs, what are the markings/difference? Only really love that one and wondered what variants I could theoretically get (where time, money & finding them are no object!!), as it seems just plain wrong to only have 1 of my favourites but 4 smurfette tennis players which don't even like much!

Oh geez, I didn't realise there was a second page to this thread and missed the comments from both Gerda & Attom.....thanks guys. The Ballerina with no mouth is actually the green mouth one Attom...I guess the lighting wasn't too great and it didn't show up too well but that is the same one I posted way back somewhere.

There are 2 variations listed in the Katalog which are Portugal & Sri Lanka from memory. I think I have both of these now but I can give you a better idea once I sort through them and maybe what the differences are between them both.

Yes, normally if a package is blue you would think it would be smaller...wouldn't you?....then again, you know what they say about men with big smurf packages....maybe I'm accomodating for....er, let's not go there....after all I could of given myself a wrap here and what do I do

I received this nice Smurf Display from Anneke today. I collect all of these boxes and have been gathering up a few now but there are still plenty of different ones out there that I hope to get. I would love a 2003 one if anyone sees one or even others from before.

Thanks for bringing that question up Helen ....I was wondering the same thing and forgot to ask that in the above post. I thought maybe this has to do with something other than PVC smurfs. I will contact the seller and and see if she knows why it's raining Smarties.

Also, one of those Aerobic Smurfettes in the pics on the first page was actually a Jubilee one, however the condition of the Jubilee imprint on the back of the head is so bad that it's hardly worth calling it a Jubilee.... ......I guess I will be searching for another one now.

A lot of those fakes are the softer moulds too which are cool as these are the first ones I have of those types. I remember Attom talking about softer/harder fakes before but I had never come across any of these until this package came along. They tend to be a different raw coloured material as well....more plastic like than the normal PVC. It's nice to finally get some of these.

One of those Injured Smurfs is the fake green one Attom (green stick & green bandage). He's the one on the end in my pic on the first page....I think. I remember Fram posted the link for this auction earlier this year

Just to confirm that the 2 variations in markings are:

Portugal W Berrie Co

Sri Lanka

According to the Katalog the main difference is the Corn Cob:

Portugal: Corn Cob being a raw sandy yellow base material colour that hasn't been painted.

Sri Lanka: variation of the Corn is white base material that has been painted yellow.

In a couple of days I will get to this Schleich Number in the sorting through the smurfs and I will try to see if there are any other differences between the 2.
