I was looking at the band set in the new catalogue this morning, ticking off the ones I'd got (I'm missing three) and noticed that they had printed 2 pictures of brainy smurf (2.0483) P.159/P.160

Is this right? It confused me for quite a while before I noticed. Sorry if this has been posted before.
Long, long ago, deep in the forest, there was a hidden village where tiny creatures lived. They called themselves the Smurfs. They were good.

Oh Steve I know how you feel, mine were packed away for a year. I'm still trying to sort them all out, only problem is I keep buying more so the sorting out isn't happening, it's only getting worse :banghead: but I am getting more smurfs :)

Just to save everyone looking this up the smurf picture on p159 2.0483 should be of the smurf with a french horn. Think the German writing in correct though

I did notice this before as well but have since forgotten about it...there are other different mistakes too that I can't remember....if I come across them I will post them...I know there are some either in the promos or sockels where the numbers refer to the wrong smurf or something or either that or the actual pic is wrong.

20025 (page 28) variation 8: Macao CE

Other times it mentiones W Berrie markings as W Berry like in the Toothbrush smurf on page 47

Other things I want to question are:

Cottages page 334...no.23: It mentions a cottage with (a roof I believe) that is green-yellow....has anyone seen one of these?

Also on page 223 they mention the ASS promo Card Players. One has the "ASS" emblem but the other one just looks like the regular version on page 43. Does anyone know what the difference is?

I regard this guide as the bible and simple printing mistakes are normal when releasing something like this....just thought I would mention some of them incase I am wrong.....it would be good to be corrected.

About the card player Dyar: The regular one does not have the triangle in the middle of the Card.

So they are 2 ASS ones: One with the name written and one without...

Frank knows about the French horn mistake by the way, in case anyone decides to mention it to him. :D

However in the Katalog the ASS promo (without wording) on page 223 is exactly the same as the one pictured on page 43.....they both have the triangle in the circle with the heart on the card......so either they are exactly the same or there is a mistake with one of these pics in the Katalog.

Well, that's because version 4 of that Smurf in the catalogue is actually the ASS smurf...

It is quite often that the promotional version of a regular is present in the list of variation for that Smurf.

Why this is not the case for every single promotional one, I think it's because we are all humans... (well sort of, some are greener than others of course... :) :) :) )

Thanks David for sorting that out for me...I can sleep now as this Card Player thingy has been bugging me for a long time now and I didn't understand what the go was...it makes sense now, just like the Papa with Book has the same thing with the Silan promos mentioned in the regular variations......thanks again :D

Two mistakes I know of for now: the Promo on stand 101 (page 238) is a fake: the text is for another comic series (De Katamarom) from Dupuis, the editor of the Smurfs. I have seen the same stand with the correct figiure (a catlike space monkey thing), and it exists in French (Le Scrameustache) as well.
The Promo torch bearers are placed in the wrong order: Picture 201 is Text 202, picture 202 is text 203, and picture 203 is text 201. For this reason is the Belgian Olympic torch bearer sometimes ridiculously expensive, while it isn't rare at all.
Oh, and a third one: beneath 51903 (Xmas Papa), they have forgotten the years it was produced

All very understandable in such a catalogue, nothing serious, but it may be interesting to know!
:sheep: Bored of normality, why not go smurf? :sheep:

I've noticed that too and thought that can't be right as the Great Britain one is far more expensive than the Belgian Torchbearer.....I agree, it is understandable with such a compilation like these katalogs.
