As I'm new, I thought I'd post some piccies of my collection. These are only the ones I have at uni with me. I have about another hundred back at home. I also have about fifteen on order from eBay.

Great pics :D

It looks like the Tennis Player is about to whack the Big Mac smurf in the back of the head......I guess he would then be called Big Smac Smurf wouldn't he?

Oh...hail to Papa Pizza....he's one of my favs......smurfs and pizza make a great combination....I have been tempted to eat Papa's pizza before.....I have a feeling the cheese on the pizza will melt very well after being in the microwave for a few minutes.

Very nice smurfs and once again very nice photos

Dyar
Thank you :D

These next three little fellows I got for just £2.50, including postage. I was quite impressed considering I've seen the hunter go for more than that by itself.

Wow Bookworm, it looks like you have had a very smurfy week. You have some great new additions to your collection in there and as already mentioned they look in great condition. :D

Excellent choice of avatar by the way.

Cool, sounds like you are becoming well aquainted with your postie then. I won't say too much more about THAT as it might set Dyar off again.

I think I spotted a viking in there as well, he is one of my all time favs, I just love his colours and his helmet. :smitten:

I hardly ever see the postie because I'm never up early enough. My flatmates always go running down to collect whatever there is - I have them well trained.

I think the Viking is a favourite of mine too. Now all we need is an Anglo-Saxon smurf so they can fight each other! :)

Nice one.

Mind you, there will come a time when your postie will start to wonder what is in all these parcels and packages..............

Here is what happens to Dyar:

Sorry Dyar I had to post it, it still makes me cry laughing when I read it and it was the centre of quite a funny discussion standing outside the fair last weekend.

That's ok Rach....it doesn't really bother me but it has affected my Postman......even the new one that replaced that guy after that day.....I think the old guy must of retired or something.....maybe he was stressed :-? he seemed alright before that day when I tried to take him and the box together. The new guy is a bit wary of me too and when he sees me coming he just places the box on the front fence and runs back to his van.....I'm not that scary am I?

Nice to see you have the rarest Bricklayer variation with the blue overalls and the brown bricks. I just recently bought this one but it took me a while to find because every blue overalls Bricklayer seemed to have the red bricks which appears to be more common. I think you will have the biggest collection here soon at your rate....it reassures the rest of us that we are not crazy.....well not at this forum anyway....outside of here is a bit more debatable.

Dyar

PS - I still think of Rach everytime I see a Viking....I guess I got so used to your previous avatar.

Postby Bookworm » Thu May 05, 2005 6:26 am
Lol Dyar. Your poor postie!

I had no idea that the bricklayer was a rarer version than some of the other variations. I dug out my price guide and I see that it can fetch up to three times the price of the standard bricklayer, which is good considering I got it quite cheaply.

Four more smurfs arrived today. There's just one more to go and it'll be the first time in ages that I haven't had any smurfs on order from eBay. I'm quite glad that the site has had a dry patch with smurfs over the past couple of days - not nearly as much for me to bid on as usual.

Hi Bookworm

That S/ette w/ Comb & Mirror looks really different too. It's the blue part around the top of the dress/neck area. Is it just me or does that look different to the normal ones?

That Bricklayer is pretty cool and even better if you got it really cheaply too :D

Dyar

Methinks they haven't painted enough of her hair  Nice variation!
:sheep: Bored of normality, why not go smurf? :sheep:
