I received a massive parcel today of ex display stock. In this parcel I made a very unusual find! I have never seen one of these before in this colour and I wondered if anyone else has? I will post more pics in a minute, I am just so excited about this footballer. :) And Rachel will be very pleased to know that I received 2!

Here are some other pics, I received lots of supers, a few playsets and some 2004 full size trade catalogues as well. Here are all the normal figurines I received and there were lots of newer but still hard to find smurfs in there so I was really happy! :)

Holy Smurfs, Karen!! You weren't kidding - that is a massive package! If only plastoy were as quick as Schleich, right :D I like that white footballer since he is different. I really dont' like the one in red - he looks a little fat, don't you think? :) Too many smurfberries maybe!

I meant to say, there were also two seamen in that delivery and the kayak super (without box) so that made me even more happy! I didn't know what I was getting with the normal figurines, just that they were all retired stock from anywhere between 1998 - 2004. What is great is that I seem to have ended up with ones I find difficult to get hold of, like milk and sandwich, snowboard smurfette, tourist, bass guitar smurf, and in the supers there were seven of the red racing drivers, that was one that Schleich ran out of early like the buildings when they discontined them. So you can imagine I am really really happy! And I got quite a few monks, I love the monks! Oh I am so excited!!!! :)

Just the two white footballers. The minute I spotted them I rummaged through the rest of the parcel like a mad woman hoping for more, but two was all there was. :( I will have to email my Schleich contact who I got them from and see if they have any idea of the history.

There were supposed to be approximately 400 smurfs (haven't counted them yet), although I got lots of supers and a few playsets as well. 3 more western sets and 3 well sets and some garden sets and another school! They sent me a list of what they had but said it was 400 assorted smurfs and they wouldn't tell me what they were, if I wanted the deal I just had to take the whole lot and keep my fingers and toes crossed! Christine will know that some of these although newer smurfs are actually not that easy to find these days so I am like a dog with two tails, no make that three tails!!!

I forgot to mention I also got a complete display box of marching band smurfs from 2002, 36 smurfs in total in that! :)

Holy Crap Karen....imagine the feast that Kitty could have with all of those.

Those footballers are amazing and you and Rach are sssoooooooo lucky. The photos look great too as I love seeing mutiple smurfs all lined up together like that......that make great dominos too but I usually only experience this accidentally.

That is so amazing and forget about coming over for tea....there's not enough room in my pockets for tea :D

:) Yippee Karen :)

Dyar

Postby Guest » Tue Jan 11, 2005 6:27 am
Kitty did proceed to smash them all to the floor not long after I took that pic, I was so fed up with her. They are now all bagged and the footy players are nice and safe in a Kitty proof zone. :)

I asked the seller if they knew why they were white but they didn't know any special history. They would have been used for Schleich exhibitions so not sure how many there would be out there in the world.

Well there bloody well better be 3 of them because I want one someday

:-D

Dyar

Postby Guest » Tue Jan 11, 2005 6:38 am
The Sassettes I was telling you about Dyar are next to the footy players at the front left. They are like applause colouring but Germany markings.
