Pauli I've just been entering a holiday brochure on Lapland onto a website as part of my other job. Is it just Lapland that gets so little daylight or is it the same for you?

As you guys have guessed im a dental nurse/receptionist and practice manager. Simon's just shouting tell them im a contract killer ! He is really a contractor Sprayer Operator. He sprays all types of crops with pesticides . He drives a massive self propelled Machine. He can sometimes work long long days but i have my chick seat in it so i go along to keep him company and check out the countryside . Lucie

I live in the South so the days are quite normal here. In Lapland, however the sun doesn't rise at all for about two months between December and January. On the other hand the sun doesn't set for two months in the summer. Quite freaky, isn't it!

That is so hard to imagine with the cycle of sunlight there. I am not sure where Lapland is....is it in Sweden? I really can't imagine those conditions and I will have to see it for myself one day.....or one night.

Lapland covers Northern Finland (as well as Sweden). I went hiking there once, and as I was there in the wilderness (without a watch and a compass) I noticed that there is no such thing as a "inner clock". Already on the second day I learned I was 8 hours off the correct time.

Its like Dr.Cleo locked in her computing center. She didn't even know what the day was

I don't know much about Lapland so I am going to have to look it up on the web and see what I can learn about the territory up there. It seems you are about as far North in the world as I am about South (Kira is actually further South than me). How cool is this board as I have never communicated with anyone from Lapland before and I love meeting new people from around the world.

Ah but Karen, I have had this discussion before on Cleo's board and as I said then do you really think he would live up there and publicy let everyone know about it....I don't think so, as he would have every man and his dog up there stalking him and asking him for certain smurfs until it annoyed him so much that he would have no choice but to move away. Santa actually lives in Sydney because he said to me that the cold gets to him up there. He used to live just a few streets away from me but he moved all of a sudden not long after I found out. I used to talk to him everyday and the poor fella must of been so busy because when he moved he forgot to tell me his new address and phone number which is a shame as there were still more smurfs I wanted to ask him for.

Well, as unexciting as it is, I am a Caseload Planner for a not-for-profit organization that helps people who may need assistance when they come home from the hospital (getting dressed in the AM or house cleaning or preparing meals). I am responsible for insuring that the clients have a worker scheduled for each visit. A bit hard on the nerves at times, expecially when the workers are being "schmucks" but usually the good out weighs the bad.

I'm a stay at home mom to my four boys. Not very exciting like all the other jobs mentioned and it don't help pay the bills, but I get my rewards in hugs and kisses and that is worth more then money

I'm a steamfitter/plumber and have worked at this trade for thirty seven years. I install heating, air conditioning and some plumbing, mostly at schools, hospitals, industrial facilities, and oil refineries. Currently, we just started a twenty six story casino hotel spa in Niagara Falls, N.Y.

She'll be starting school in October, so if don't have another baby by then I'll be going back to work.

I'm a software engineer and former military linguist. My *real* job, though I only make about $50 a year off it, is writing fantasy fiction (short fiction--it's easier to break-in with short fiction, then sell the long stuff after one has a track record). I haven't hit the big time yet, but I've only been at it for a year or so... so there's still hope!

Blame writing on my return to smurf collecting. Writing is one "Wow, I loved it!" for every 99 "don't quit the day job, bub." Smurfs, however, still hang out with me regardless of whether I bring Paul's aversion towards swiss cheese to a satisfying and thought-transforming conclusion.

I'm a software programmer, mainly doing datawarehouses. Not very exciting, but a living is a living. I'm actually an art historian, but I've never worked as one. And I try to be a good boyfriend and dad.

Well I wouldn't call what I earn making a living but I am a teacher. Last year I taught Art one day a week for half the year, easing back in after having Eloise. The year before I taught Pre-Primary. This year I'll be doing all the odd jobs no-one else wants to do, Computer teacher and teacher relief for the Phys Ed teacher.

What I'd really like to do is make millions on ebay so I'm thinking of enrolling in that "How to Make it Rich on Ebay 101" course!
