Whilst I was at the railway station bookshop the other day I noticed a new smurf comic for sale. It's very similar in design & content to the 'Schlumpf Mag' comics which were available a few years ago & it's quite possible that they have the same cartoons etc although I haven't checked that. The cover is of a cheaper paper than the nice glossy ones that 'Schlumpf Mag' had & I had trouble finding one that wasn't torn. It costs €2.99 & comes out every two months. I wonder how long this comic will last before they stop production....

The comic came with a 'fart cushion' :o

I already have that one, Andre  :)

By the time I am there I hope they put the really cool toys in the mag..like the little water pistol.... :D. A smurfy pistol should help bring the current hottest US issue to a new level :)

I'm not home right now to check but I think it was 3. If I remember rightly there was the smurf with bouquet, chef with spoon & footballer.

I can check later though.

@Maureen - sorry to disappoint you about the water pistol. The next issue has another 'farty' toy - a tub of goo which makes an embarassing noise when you stick your finger in it :o

:) :) :) :)

Here's the information on the releases from the Schlumpf Mag Extra together with the markings on the smurfs I received with them (I have 2 of each).

I'm not sure when issue #1 was released but presumably Jan / Feb 2008.

Issue #1:-
20040 (Present), Schleich, Made in China, 3, Peyo, CE, 78
20040 (Present), Schleich, Made in China, 4, Peyo, CE, 78

Issue #2 - 17th April 2008:-
20165 (Cook), Schleich, Made in China, 4, Peyo, CE, 1982 (both)

Issue #3 - 12th June 2008:-
20454 (Footballer), Schleich, Made in China, 3, Peyo, CE, 97 (both)
Large "10" on back of dark red shirt.

The following were never released:-
Issue #4 - 14th August 2008 - Papa with lab glasses
Issue #5 - 9th October 2008 - Disco Smurfette (with green dress)
Issue #6 - 4th December 2008 - Guitar smurf

It was a real shame that they stopped this magazine as I enjoyed getting a new variant for my collection every 2 months...
