I heard a rumour a while ago, which has now been confirmed by Hefty, that the Smurfs WILL be in McDonalds again this year!

There is also a talk of returning to Kelloggs cereal.. which I heard a long time ago during the making of the book, but dismissed it. Now it seems to be true!

oooo I like those rumors.... (especially since our local Burger King closed down) McDonalds usually does better kids meal toys. Kellogs however seems odd. I can't remmebr the last time I saw anything in a box of cereal. let us know if you get more info

Kelloggs has a reputation with smurfs, more then 50 years ago, they already put smurfs in the boxes and last year, we had in Belgium and Holland the smurf skatterz.

I've heard the McDonald's rumor and it sounded fairly certain (reliable source)..but I wouldn't be surprised if the promotion is a local one as it was with Kellog's last year....I would expect Belgium and Holland (maybe also Germany) to get them...not so sure about the rest of the world though

You needn't buy any food, Tojo& Frank. Just ask them to sell the smurfs only. That's what I always did and it worked neatly!

LOL @ Tojo. Yes it has been confirmed. If you have the Book the Smurfs and the howlly bird in the last couple of pages they talk about the Mcdonald and kelloggs.

From reliable sources, we know that McDonals Spain will offer something with its menus last week of july. Fingers crossed they were PVC smurfs!!!
