Agh.. Sadly something we were hoping to hold this until launch of the SCC has leaked... Oh well!

Basically, the new 2011 Smurfs will be movie Smurfs. Coming a month before the film release. They look like the Smurfs from the movie and unlike normal Schleich Smurfs.

They're not exactly my cup of tea, and prob will not go down well with collectors... Buy at least we're getting new Schleich Smurfs!

Well, cat's out of the bag for this one.. we have more tho!

Sorry... seeing as it's post after post from me... got this pic from MV. JUst wanted to give credit where it's due. SCC did have info but not the pic just yet. Not sure if this is a design prototype from the pics as they don't seem 'real'. Not sure why this is released yet.

Jury's out until we see them. I'm glad we're getting new smurfs after all but I want them to be smurfy like we're used to. These don't seem very traditional and I hope that not all future smurfs will look like this.

I think they are great. But as you say it will be strange if they look different. But I am sure I will get use to it!!!

And this is off course a very nice Schleich release for the movie.

And as I have told you before. We collectors think different.

If a child would see the movie and then want to buy smurfs made by Schleich, maybe they would think the opposite way. - Why don´t they look like they do in the movie? They look strange!!

I like Schleich has decided to use new molds, but the truth is that I prefer the "less human" faces of old smurfs

I think they're cute... I hope its just for this year with the movie and not a new look for the smurfs though, but I'm perfectly happy to get movie smurfs that will fit in with my schleich and Jakks smurfs (size wise anyways)

So...are these only going to be a box set? I would not be surprised if they sell these individually too... My daugther and I have already discussed how we willn divy up the pack though... I get Gutsy and Grouchy she gets the rest (Grouchy is actually my favorite smurf ...after Tracker of course). I'm a softy though so the daughter will get the majority of the smurfs. If they sell them individually we might get some duplicates of our favorites
