I'll post this here. Just found this photo on Flickr. Not sure where this smurf is. The caption just says "My first smurf sighting in Belgium"

Smurfs, Bollywood to give Shanghai Expo star power

For its part, Belgium will try to seduce China with a combination of diamonds, sweets -- and Smurfs.

"Visitors will be tasting our delicious Belgian chocolates in the format of a Smurf, every day they will be able to win a Smurfette figurine holding a diamond ring," pavilion staff promised in a statement last week.

I wonder what the smurfette figure holding a diamond ring is? a new schleich figure or something else? Very interesting. Hope we see a photo. World Expo 2010 is due to run from May 1-October 31

oh cool! nice find. I have seen the crystal smurf selling on ebay but hadn't seen the other figure. But there was a badge on ebay a few weeks back that was the same.

Hi,
These are the Belgian chocolates that are sold in the Belgian Pavilion Shanghai.
My cousin was so kind to ask her boss to bring these chocolates from Shanghai as she works for the “Voka” (to promote Flemish products) and was there last week.
To my surprise she also brought one of the moulds with her, a kind gift from the boss of the chocolate factory. :-D
These cannot be bought. As you can see one of the smurfs is holding the Belgian “atomium” (a mega iron molecule). This monument was build for world expo in 1958.

Yummmm smurf chocolates :) very nice Nance, when can we expect the chocolate production to begin? :)
Long, long ago, deep in the forest, there was a hidden village where tiny creatures lived. They called themselves the Smurfs. They were good.
