Hi all,

let's continue with 1980, so please check out the 1980 Schleich Dealer Catalogue DIN A4, I haven't photographed all pages, only the smurf related.

Had to reduce file size and resolution, high-res. on request.

Great Stefan,

this was the first year Schleich was sole manufacturer of the smurfs and took over the Bullymolds ( from kicker 20068). It is intresting to see that it is better to go by the articlenumbers if you want to figure out when the smurfs were released than the years in DSK IV.
This goes very well with the thoughts I have.

And maybe not all of you had noticed the difference in the gasstationset between the catalogues 1979 and 1980.
I believe in 1979 Schleich only sold the small gasstationset for National in the UK-box. And first when they was selling smurfs themselves in Germany 1980 they started with the gasstation playsetbox and the smurfstickers on the pump?? :-?

Thanks for all the pictures. This helps us a lot.
André

Stefan,

I have this box with articlenumber 4.3014. The box I have was sold by Mafi ( France). Is it in any of your german catalogues?

I would guess it was released sometime near when the bundesliga with boxes was sold? :-?

I have wondered what the "bilderrahmen" looked like.....it is mentioned in the DSK. It's a beautiful piece, I presume it translates as "picture frame" or something...I'd love it but never seen it real life

Thanks Stefan

Yep, that's right Martin. A Rahmen is a frame & a Bild is a picture. So a Bilderrahmen is a picture frame :D

It's a very nice item & I wish I had one.

Stefan,

if you ever see any of the green or brown cart in any Schleichcatalogue, please let me know. They are exactly the same mold as the smurf ones, but could have been sold through another company like the Kwak items and not shown in the catalogues.

The green one is exactly like the pre 91 cart and the darkbrown are like the CE marked after 92 cart.

Hello Andre,

this carts exists in 3 other colours which were used between 1991 to 1995 (or longer) for Schleich series "Farm Life" and "Wild Life".

I had already intended to include the regarding pages when I upload soon the pictures of the Schleich dealer catalogues 91 up to 1995, to protect all forum members from fakers.

See below parts of the regarding pages.
Please be patient, I will upload in chronological order :)

oh, I forgot:

This carts shouldn't have the small hook in front where the snail is mounted to the cart if you compare it with the smurfy carts

Thanks Stefan,

it is very intresting to see that they used the same molds for other things too. And as you say it is better to add them here, otherwise they would probably end up as testversions as the Kwak-items.

And like the Kwak-items I would say these are rare and beautiful together with the smurfs. Maybe I could find more of them if I start checking the farmlife auktions instead??? :o

It seems on these pictures the green one was sold as a single item. This has the old mold and I guess this one is the rarest one, Stefan?? Maybe sold only before 92.

And then there are 2 different sets. One for farmlife and one for wildlife. These are probably both CE marked and was sold during a longer time??

Just guessing Stefan. Am I completly wrong??

The Schleich Nr and description says the green one is a single item "cart only", but I think it is different to the smurfs, no hook at the end for the second trailer, no hook on front downwards where the snail is mounted. Or I am wrong ?

92 was the light brown, 93 to 95 the dark brown, but they used the same picture and the same Schleich Nr sometimes both in the same catalogue for Wild Life AND Farmlife. I think NO difference between this accessoiries.

Stefan,

you are completly right. They blocked the part that hold the hook and shortened the part where the snail should be.

Regarding the marking it is not that simple.
It depends on which cart you compare with. You have to compare with the ones sold at the same time.

For example these ones without Schleich marking.

The first version they didn´t have the thicker part at the start of the plugs for the wheels. See 2nd picture. After this they added this part and this version is the same as the green cart.
