Someone at work told me the same thing. He said all I had to add was

Today is my nephew´s 20 birthday. So I will go on his later today to celibrate him.

In Sweden 20 year is an important date because we are not allowed to buy alcohol( strong beer, vodka, wine etc) until you are 20 years old.

Today I went with him to the store where it is possible to buy beer. Of course I had to buy a box of Carlsberg for myself also.

I have showed him the picture. We have worked together today and that is why I had to go with him to the store. He bought 2 bags with wine, vodka, beer and bewerages. The guy at the desk asked for identification and after he checked it he congratulated him on his birthday and told him to save the reciept of this historical event.
