One Finnish toy collector asked value for this Smurf mug she found. I´m not expert on anything, so I thought if someone could help her.

Mug has marking (c)PEYO/SEPP/Semic and on bottom Made in Ireland.
I have seen truck loads of Smurf mugs, but never on like this (or at least I don´t recall seeing one).

Thank you,
JT

It's hard to say, JT...it really depends how bad the collector wants this one.

I have never seen this mug or any smurf mug that is made in Ireland, so I personally would pay a bit more for it (because of the Ireland factor, since I am half Irish).

One thing to consider....I don't think it's a licensed product, because if it were the Peyo markings would be under the mug. It is fairly easy to put a picture on a blank mug..and those pictures usually have the markings below the picture as in this case. I peronally don't care for this fact as it makes mugs like this more unique, but it can be a big deal for some collectors

As a rule, I try not to pay more than $10.00 for a smurf mug which includes shipping...for this one I'd probably go up to $15.00.

Thank you for your view Maureen

I did suspect possibility of unlicensed, self made product too. Just because shape of the mug and markings being on picture rather than on bottom.

As this mug was found from flea market here in Finland, I doubt this to be self made, but it is possible. And if none similar mugs is not seen. It is very likely.

I agree with Moey; I usually pay between $3 and $5 for mugs. But might pay a little more as this is one I have never seen before.

My first guess was around 5-10 euros. And it seems to be close.

Thanks,
JT
