I had some fun today creating a display case for my AH Smurfs, it was simple
and quick. I used a Johnny Lightning display case made for 1:64 scale cars...

I also used the back cardboard print that came with the Smurf Windmill
Playset to give it a background and when I was done I got this...

Front Panel flips open, if I should ever want to change the Smurfs around...

And now I have a display case for my Albert Heijn Smurfs!!

That is a great Idea Smurfsterocks. Now all I gotta do is find one of those Johnny lightning boxes. Can you buy just the box or do the cars come with it?

Thanks bwalters and Smurfysmurf!

It's just the display case bwalters. No cars included. I bought this one a
while back at Toys R Us for about $9.99 for some loose Hot Wheels cars
that I own but I never used it. Came in handy in the long run. LOL!

Thanks for the info. I will have to look for them. I think if you put those things to hang pictures on it. It will hang from the wall even. I still have my Albert Heijn Smurfs in the box they came in.

Thanks Eggie Smurf.

Now that you mention the hanging on the wall, it does have two holes in
the back for hanging. I put it underneath my framed poster on the wall.
(screws came with the display also)

wow that is a great idea! The display looks great! Perfect for the AH Smurfs. I just keep mine in the cardboard display that was made for them but you have to be careful as the smurfs pop out of the display easily.

That is a really nice display case. I haven't seen anything like that here & I often browse around the Hot Wheels section when I'm in a toy shop as I like their muscle cars (I leave them in their packaging though).

That's a really cool idea! :-D :) :)

Thanks Smurfers! Glad you guys like the idea.
I had that display box for a long time, I think I even had it way before the
AH Smurfs were announced. What I really like about this is that it keeps
those very fragile AH Smurfs in a very safe place.

I went to TRU tonight looking for them after about 1/2 hour of looking I gave up and asked. I think we found 2 cars but no box like that. The guy that found the cars told me Hobby Lobby might have them. I didn't go by there I will on friday.

bwalters,
When I get a chance, I'll go to my Toys R Us and see if they still have
them. I can always pick one up for you.

:-D Now thats cool. I've never figured out how to put the original cardboard display together! :banghead:

Postby SMURFSTEROCKS » Thu Aug 13, 2009 11:50 am
Yeah, I have the cardboard display too but I never decided wether to put
it together or not. Instead I had my AH Smurfs displayed with my coffee
mugs but I was worried that one day one of the Smurfs will fall and break
and you know how delicate these AH Smurfs are.

Here's an old picture where they were before.
