Hi does anyone remember what the price was at TRU when it first came out? I was thinking around $25 but I don't remember. I took off at 2pm today. I went to Walmart, Target, and TRU. TRU had the 50th anniversary Plush for $11.99 so I bought one.

On another note. If anyone wants one at that price plus actual shipping let me know. I am pretty sure this is a mistake. It should be the other three large plush for $11.98 not the 50th anniversary ones. If they are still on sale at that price on Wendsday I will buy all they have reguardless if it is a mistake or not, or if anyone wants one.
P.S. I think these are on sale also (pictured) but I didn't look at the price. I borrowed this pic from Staci I couldn't find mine.

wow, very cheap price. Must be on sale trying to get rid of them all. I never imported one of these. Figured they would be available here in Australia but starting to doubt they'll release these ones here mainly because of the dvd included. They'd have to remove them from the set or re produce them to play on our dvd players. Plus for the 50th anniversary its a little too late now. If they still have one available at that price Bill I would be interested in one. I knew I waited this long for a reason.

Hi Bradley; I think it is a mistake by this store. My guess is the corporate people told them to put the large plush on sale at that price. The sign says the price was $14.98. The only large plush they have is the 50th anniversary so they put that price on it. That price is ment for the other three that were $14.98. If they are still at that price on Wendsday I will get you one. Along with anyone else that wants one.

I don't think it's a mistake, Bill. They are on clearance at our Toys R Us too for $14.98 because they just aren't selling I guess. The original price was the $24.98.

That maybe right Staci. But if you take one to the counter my neice said the computer will take an additional 20% off. To make it $11.98. I am just currious as to why the sign said $14.98 not $24.98. That would make the sale look more apealing I think. Or instead of saying 20% off say 70% off.

Hi Brad,

I have just seen one of these sets at TRU in Sweden but without the DVD. Except for that everythings seems identical with the drawing and the goldsmurf. But the box has a opening at the hand where it says "Try me". The one I got from US don´t have this.

There were two different boxes sold in the US, Andre

The one with the opening is sold in the stores and the other one was sold by QVC online and should have a notation about a limited edition on top of it

Yes, both are exactly the same except for the opening and the limited edition remark

My guess is they left out the DVD on the Swedish version because of the language and because you'd need a universal player to watch it

You really can't see the difference too well but here are both versions. I think you have the first one and saw the second one in one of your stores minus the DVD

The one on the left in Moey's post is the QVC and the right is the Toys R Us.

I never noticed it until now, but the musical notes are different as well..not that it matters..but I thought it might be a worth a mention

You Think it would drive Max anymore crazy than the one's I have? I'm sure it would do the trick just as well he goes crazy over the other three also.
