Well, it's June and we are already at the half way mark of the year

What has been your smurfy highlight so far this year?

I couldn't decide so I just took a picture of both so far. I have a few very nice smurfs coming from a nice German seller which could also be a highlight but other than that it's been a quiet year for me..if it wasn't for an influx of Spanish smurfs for the first three months of the year :) :) :)

Another one has also been the first forum smurfette.. :-D

mid-year already... crazy. Good topic. I have also had a quiet year sofar with smurf buying. I really haven't brought many smurfs this year. I guess thats because I'm saving extra money for my trip.. Just looking through my website updates to figure out what my favourite purchase sofar has been.. I think most of my January updates were catch ups from the end of 2008.

I would have to choose the 2009 Movie smurfs. I just think they are a really nice set. the best in years. I also really liked the 5 Play Along beanies and I also brought the 3 larger sized Trudi plush (12" Papa, Smurfette and Smurf).

I'm not sure if you can count this as a 2009 highlight or a 2008 highlight since I bought this in 2008 but didn't receive it until April 2009 :mail:

Thanks to Rachel since I don't think I'd have this in my collection if it weren't for her...I won one of these in November 2007 but it arrived in a dried up crumbled heap of rubber :(

But this one is in beautiful condition

Yeah.....what the Fish said for me too :D

....either that or the fact its been a very quiet year paying bail and court fees for Syd's misadventures

Dyar

PS: That doesn't mean that he hasn't been in a lot of trouble again this year....it's just that I haven't been bothered paying for anything. 8)

PPS: The worst thing of the year is the fact that I can only dream of my smurf collecting being as quiet as Moey's year.....quiet...PLEASE !!! :o

I think the highlight of my year has been finishing the basic collection, it seemed so far off but I am glad to have finally 'caught up' :)

Another highlight was also finally getting a philips battery smurf and philips white bulb to complete the 3 promos.
Long, long ago, deep in the forest, there was a hidden village where tiny creatures lived. They called themselves the Smurfs. They were good.

I treat most smurfy deliveries as a highlight :) but I think it must be Gargamel's castle with box, conveyor belt with box, and the school and playground playsets with boxes! :) :) :) :) :) To say I'm delighted is an understatement!!! :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

P.S. Brad - what is this "saving up"? I never could get my head around that!

hehe, I'm actually really good at saving.. or should I say, collecting money. Just treat it like a collection. That is what I consider it. Maybe I should say I am collecting money for my smurf trip. ha.. I am good at spending it though. But just trying to make sure that my trip doesn't put a huge dent into my savings.. sorry collectings... :D

Very nice smurfy things you all got this year so far. It's difficult for me to decide which was my favourite smurf...I got many smurf this year, but not one I'd say is THE highlight.
Maybe the following two smurfs:

And the three smurfs I just got (http://www.forum.bluecavern.com/viewtop ... highlight=).

@Cheesy: I Didn't notice that your website is working again. :D Have you done it recently? I'm happy there is a smurf site more existing again and it is always worth to visit website.

@all many thanks for your congrats on my new site. I'm still not finished exspecially the english part is not very complete. The alphabectical index for all english smurfs is incomplete for all raws is not exisiting. But I started to sort all country markings and also I will start for all producers later on.

Especially on all skin colored smurfs...they are NOT fakes. They are very nice color variations and really so special to me

I have got a lot of nice stuff this year, like parts for the growing playsetscollection and smurfbuildingcollection , completing my kwakitems with boxes and other hard to find stuff.

But I guess my growing superboxcollection and the supersmurfs are among my favorites this year.

In Sweden the smurfs are blue ( and yellow).

wow Andre...amazing collection. how many boxes do you have now?
Did you bought that all within one year ?

Postby André » Sun Jun 07, 2009 1:05 pm
Thanks Tine,

it is 221 on the picture but I have about 10 more with bigger difference. If you count all the ones with smaller differences, like same boxes with or without ages warnings. And with or without stickers (Maia borges or the supersmurfstickers on the Sledder and the gardenerbox) there are maybe 10 more.

I guess I started up with about 150 boxes this year.

And it is also good to know that I can check your website now aswell. :D

I always visits Dyars, Gerdas and Christys sites to look for boxes and variations. And they are also great to find the correct english words for small parts on the supers, which I have hard time translating otherwise in my reports. Words like nozzle, roll bar, rungs etc. :)

Off course I visit other websites also but not as often.

/André
