When you used to play with your Smurfs when you were a child, what sort of adventures did they have.

My sister and Care Bears, Get Along Gang and a few Snoopy figures and I had the Smurfs and a few Disney figures and they all used to be in the same world. I remember during the summer we used to play in the garden and we would build houses or restaraunts out of anything we could find in the gardens like bricks and flower pots and everytime we were done playing we would destroy what we made and have the figures evacutae their village. I used to really enjoy those days

I used to put my cuties into my extra huge Fallers toy-train and let them drive forward and reward for quite some time. I still have my toy-train and once I have collected more mushroom houses and train-tracks and a smurf room of my own, I'd love to create a very lovely display out of it. :D

My brother and I used to put our smurfs together and play make believe. I put Hs on the feet of my smurfs so I could tell them apart from my brother's. :-D The Hs are still there. I don't remember any specific games but I do remember that we thought the emperor smurf was the king and that the king smurf was the prince. I always thought there should be a princess smurfette! :) :)

When me grandparents used to have a pool table I would bring my smurfs to their house and play on the pool table... I'd set them up like I was using them as pins for bowling. Knock them into the pockets... very naughty of me now, looking back.

@Hilary: What a coincidence! I remember that I used to believe the same for quite some time. :) :) :)

I like reading with emotion all your remembrances of your chilhood...

I have an old and, for some reasons, special imagen in my mind: a battle of smurfs (mine) against figures of Stars Wars (my twin brother)...I would like to be 10 again

I didn't have smurfs when I was a kid (I'm too old) but my children played with them. I'm not sure what adventures they had but I'm glad I hung onto their smurf toys now!

I don't remember exactly how I played with them, but play with them I did....I had one house (the old large one) and a few smurfs. At first they fit into the house but after a while they didn't. I probably played village life with them :D

I also had a few of the comics, so I think I also renacted those with my smurfs. For example, I never knew about the emporer smurf until a few years ago, so I played "King smurf" with my king smurf...and I was very proud of my "alien" smurf and renacted that Comic as well.

I always liked to make up stories about everything..so smurfs were perfect for playing out the stories.

My memories are coming back :) :) :)

I remember I used to use my large house as a creche for the smurf babies! :) :) Smurfette was in charge of-course. :-D

This is really lame, but I had a truck a bit like the Scooby Doo mystery can (btw, I HATE scooby bloody doo!) and spy smurf and the super smurf aeroplane pilot used to drive round solving mysteries usually involving the ghost figures from Ghostbusters!

Brilliant.. Also the humburger from hamburger smurf I used to call "Chip" and he acted a bit like Ziggy from Quantum Leap and would help them with facts and data.

And I defy anyone to be more random than that! HAHAHAHA! God that's cheered me up today!! :D

What a great imagination you have Al!!

I've loved reading these stories - a shame I didn't have smurfs as a kid. I had Subbuteo, Action Men, a Hornby model railway & lots of Airfix soldiers though so I wasn't bored :)

I'm not sure I can answer that as I haven't grown up yet. :) :) Yes I am older than the Smurfs, but still a kid.

I can also remember the exact Smurfs I had (not including the ones my brother & sister had)

Normal Smurfs
1) Desert (My first)
2) Handglider
3) Umbrella
4) Pirate
5) Papa
6) Ice Skater
7) Tennis (I had 3 of these)
8) Mirror
9) Postman
10) Santa Papa
11) Cricket
12) Graduate

Super Smurfs
1) Tricycle
2) School Desk
3) Blackboard
4) Butterfly Catcher
5) Gargamel & Azreal
6) Bars Gymnast

And finally The Water and Traffic Kombi Sets.

I never owned or wanted any Smurfettes (my sister had 3) but ended up with Mermaid when it came with the water Kombi set. Can't believe i knew which exact ones I had

I remeber that my sister and me always made a little competition with my smurfs: One closed his/her eyes and took one smurf in his hands. Then he/she had to guess which smurf he/she is holding in his hand just by feeling the smurf. :)

Well, the smurfs were actually the bad guys in our PVC fantasy world. Even though we knew them pretty good from the comics (we had them all - that were available that is).
He had a ton of PVC figures like, Heidi, Marco, Ruy, etc (just about any cartoon that come to TV and we watched, we would then "run to the store" to buy the pvc figures :) ) They were the good guys, and the smurfs would try and conquer the world (basicly our bedrooms + hallway, and ocassionaly into the living room, kitchen, balcony... the all house really :lol2: ). The Emperor smurf was the greddy one with a big love for gold, and got all the other smurfs to follow him in this conquest, except Papa smurf who, with Glasses smurf, tried to get the smurf "back to the good path". Eventually as our Playmobil collection began to grow, these become the Smurf's robots. :-D
There are those who believe that life here began out there...

Not really that much unlike of what is happening in my house :o
I try to keep them in one room, but they always find their way into the rest of the house :-?
