That's looking good Gerda but there's a distinct lack of smurfs! :o :-D :) :)

Postby Gerda » Mon Apr 20, 2009 1:02 pm
I know! :banghead: i'm working on that, Robert just called to tell me he got the tracer paper so once I have the outline of the lawn smurfs done then i'll put them out and hopefully my doubles will be safe (and look ok) I also have not done my gnome migration yet so it is lacking in alot of things right now.

add pictures of the lawn ornaments to my site. scroll to the bottom of this page to see them
http://www.kickingtheblues.com/misc.html

as you cansee they are very nicely done so I want to make doubles so not to ruin these, BUT i really want smurfs in my yard.. what to do :-?

Those are awesome Gerda! :smitten: :smitten: You really can't let the elements get at those - not until you've got a 2nd set anyway. :winks:

We'd love to have a pond too but we'd have to dramatically alter our garden to do it justice.

I love those garden photos. We sometimes have frogs in the garden as the lady on the other side of the road from us has a pond & they use our garden to get there.

We have quite a lot of lizards. They sunbathe & only run away if you scare them.

I wish I had more time to spend in the garden then I could extend the vegetable garden (Mrs Tojo is clueless when it comes to plants so I have to do all the work :x ). This year there will be courgettes, pumpkins, beans & tomatoes. We also have 2 apple trees, a plum tree, 2 mirabelle trees & lots of current bushes & raspberries. Oh & a small herb garden.

These old garden furnitures I bought last year and I just can´t paint them. I like them like they are. This type of chairs was used by breweries since the late 1800 so if you are lucky you can find these with the breweryname under it. It was given away to be used at cafés. These don´t have any. :(

Very nice indeed André. Your garden looks really nice & I love your greenhouse too. The old kitchenware & beer garden set looks cool in there :D

Thanks Tojo,

since I like beer I manage to find this suitable case for my beerbottles a couple of years ago. Then everybody knows who it belongs too. :)

It is from a former Brewery in south of Sweden.

If I didn't know better, I'd say it's Swedish moonshine  :) :) :)

Do you find all of this on fleamarkets or do you go to antique shops?

I used to go a lot on real auktions were you have to shout your bid out loud. You know the genuine ones, not on internet. :)

But nowadays it is only 2 or 3 times a year.

I have always liked old stuff with history, not the new, like IKEA, massproduced items.
