I've been offered a papa smurf figure like the tall one in the center. he is the store statue that holds the flag.

I was wondering what a fair price for him would be? :-? :-? any help

afaik the statue is quite cheap about 150 Euro it was sold at ebay but the important is the genuine flag. if the genuine flag is there the price is higher..
But I never paid too much attention to the prices for this item :-(

Steve's papa has the original sign although I'm not sure that the post for it is original. There should still be a photo of it together with my normal smurf on the forum somewhere.

I can't say what they normally sell for but I think that €150 is possibly about right. Important is also that the paint on the smurf hasn't been touched up at all.

The seller wants to sell it for $500 but I think that is too steep so i'm trying to make a deal with him.

I love these smurfs, I paid about 200 for mine with the flag. I've seen them go for 300 euros at some of the fairs though. Good luck getting him Gerda..the package is HUGE when you get it
Long, long ago, deep in the forest, there was a hidden village where tiny creatures lived. They called themselves the Smurfs. They were good.

That sounds too expensive to me too

The photo of Steve & my shop displays together seems to have disappeared from the forum. I do have some on my pc at home though.

Gerda, I am not sure where the seller is but if he is from overseas you need to consider shipping as well. :D

He lives about an hour and a half from me so I would pick it up. i'm trying to negotiate a price, but I really want it, I just can't go broke buying it or me and my smurfs would be homeless :( I was already told that our refinancing our house and bills into a low rate does NOT mean I can spend the savings on smurfs :x life is cruel

Told by whom? By your bankmanager or by your husband?
Only in the first case, you should listen!

I'll let him know you said that :duck:

He's normally pretty good but he wants to actually be able to pay off our loan in half the time. of course I should not complain too much as it is him doing all the smurf shopping for me since the new ones are coming out.

I know I should counsel restraint, but you've got to have that Gerda! Get Bob to do the negotiations as he isn't emotionally involved. Then he can't blame you for the price! :-D :-D

I know that auction, I had bid on it was the high bidder but then I contacted the seller and said I could not pay for it. He was nice about it. I have to keep money really tight right now :???:
