I was just wondering when you say you refer to your basic Smurf collection what Smurfs do you include? I always thought of it as the Normals and Supers. What do you include? Do you include the gold cord Christmas ornaments, holiday Smurfs (Easter and Christmas), or the Historical set? I am just curious.

I refer to the DSK
Everything under "Normal Smurfs" and "Super Smurfs".
This includes for me also the Christmas, Easter and the promos with Wheelchari and so...

I consider the basic collection the regulars, including the Christmas and Easters, and the super smurfs. And if it's a promo, then that is separate. :D

For me, I think the basic collection would be the pvc smurfs (normals and supers) and everything else is a bonus. :-D

I thought I knew, but after reading the 'what planet are schleich on' topic I am confused again :scratchinghead: :cheerz:
I do know that my ''basic collection'' is not complete, I just have no idea how many smurfs I'm short of right now :) :smurf2: :papasmurf:

Well, for me basic collection is anything done by schleich/bully.

Stuff I don't want can be easily described as "IF i were making a village scene, what would look out of place." Eg, a radio or remote controlled car.

But, I do fall in love with other random bits!

Thanks for your replies! I finally had a chance to see what Smurfs I am missing and was surprised to discover how close I am to completing some of the sets. I need 14 regulars, 5 supers, 1 Historical and 5 from the gold cord Christmas ornaments. I have all the Easter and regular Christmas ones. Of course most of the ones I need are the pricey ones. So it may take me some time to get the rest of them. :banghead:

That's great Christine, well done on being so close to having the basics. Then there are all those variations & promos out there just waiting to join your collection :)
