About the competition in www.happysmurfday.com. Which smurf do you think is the best so far at the first city, Angoulême? Did you vote?

I haven't voted yet but I will. I just don't see why the two smurfs that are leading the votes should win. There is nothing unique in them. Do you agree? OK, maybe it is the normals smurf that hit us the best. Maybe...

I keep checking for new enteries each day. Some of them are shocking, what those kids are doing to those smurfs is a crime!

But my favourites are the Smurf turned Smurfette!hehe, Superman and Spiderman smurfs, and any smurf painted as a normal smurf in the correct colours, lol.

Yep, some of the entries are shocking, there is no way some of those entries have been done by young children.

So doesn't this mean there will be no new homemades from this town?

I wonder when they'll hit the next city? If the tour is making 20 stops over the course of this year.

I was having a think earlier about whether they are going to try to go to various comic fairs. At first I thought I didn't have a clue as to where any are then it dawned on me, there is one I have been to for the last 2 years. BRUSSELS!!!!!

Soooooo............... I am wondering, with the Brussels comic fair being in October and so close to the ACTUAL birthday (23rd Oct) is there any possibility this is when the smurfday party hits Brussels.??????

When I emailed IMPS I did ask if there was anything planned for October as many of us travel to the Comic fair. They haven't got back to me (I have since emailed 5 times and will keep doing so until I at least get some kind of a reply, even if it just tells me to stop emailing) but I have only just made the connection with comic fairs.

I will wake up very early tomorrow morning (I'm thinking right now of not going to sleep at all since I want to watch tonight the Maryland vs Duke college basketball game) and if the new city is in a nearby Italian city (north or at most central Italy) I will go there first thing in the morning... of course I have to take a day of vacation from work but I have plenty left from last year so it shouldn't be a problem.
