Congrats Rashleigh! :) :)

I love that big smurf!!! :smitten:

I don't think they'll hit my city either, but maybe they'll hit Lisbon... But what would be the chances of a friend/family finding one and thinking I would love to get it? :-?

It's incredible to say, but IMPS answered to my e-mail and said that the white raw smurfs will be available for sale, if you are not among the lucky ones to find them during the night, at the unicef stands for 10 euros each (profit will go to charity), but they didn't say either in which cities or on what days the celebrations would take place; and they also didn't mention different molds, so I suppose the smurfs will be all the same mold and like the one on the picture with the unicef bag at the beginning of this thread.

Postby Cassiebsg » Thu Jan 24, 2008 11:14 am
Oh cool!
Thanks for the update. At least one will be able to buy it for 10€, so no need to go rushing like crazy to e-bay and pay bundle of euros. :)

And I'm sure there'll be at least a few of us that are or can be at the featured cities. I'm guessing that finding the smurfs will be lucky strike, but once they're unleash and the news of the target city is out that the Unicef stand will be there for at least a couple days. What would be the point of removing it right away and losse all the possible profit for the children?

Wow, I so hope that I can find some of these smurfs..I like the video..I wonder how many of the ones the guy at the end of the video was putting into his bag will end up on ebay :)
Long, long ago, deep in the forest, there was a hidden village where tiny creatures lived. They called themselves the Smurfs. They were good.

Thanks for letting us know what IMPS said Paolo and Thanks Francesca for the link to their updated news. :-D

I totally agree that it would be such a shame if we as long term smurfers are unable to get one of these beautiful smurfs or that we end up having to pay large amounts on Ebay.

I have actually contacted IMPS on behalf of the members here to see if there is any way that we can get them directly from them. I mentioned our concern about Ebay prices and also the fact we have many members who don't live in Europe. I also asked a few other smurfy questions. I will of course let you know if I hear anything back. :fingersx:

I suppose if the worst comes to the worst we will have to try and sort out a plan so that if any members here are lucky enough to make it to one the cities visited, then they could try and pick up / buy as many of these smurfs as possible. :D

OH WOW!! My 2 favourite comic passions amalgamated into one    That is incredible!!

Thanks for showing the picture Simon :D

Rachel, I hope you have some luck with IMPS & that their reply is a positive one. I don't for a moment expect that the roadshow will visit Frankfurt or any of the surrounding towns such as Mainz etc (although I have heard that pigs can fly :) ) so it would be very nice to be able to get hold of one of these smurfs without paying silly ebay prices (the BASF smurfs are finally selling for less than €25 but I still haven't managed to get one as I'm only willing to pay max. €20,01 :x ).

Great to hear you contacted IMPS Rach......I really hope you get a reply and that some of these smurfs are made available to many of us outside of Europe or the places where they will be selling them. They look so nice and I can only hope we all get a chance to get one.

Keep us posted please :D
