Hi!
Not that I'm a rumour-monger, but you may want to check out this link where Vanity seems to be publicly 'outed' by Peyo's widow!

We all knew it, didn't we?

http://www.time.com/time/world/article/ ... 03,00.html (Time Magazine) [ Note: Mrs Culliford hints that Vanity Smurf might be gay! However I wouldn't call it that new, since we know that Vanity is a transformation of Narcissus into a smurf being ]
Also it is interesting to note that I haven't seen a single article yet that mentions that in fact the smurfs are still popular as a collectable worldwide and always have been? And now these white-capped, blue dwarfs are getting set for the silver screen: Paramount Pictures is currently developing a CGI 3D Smurf feature through its Nickelodeon Films unit that would bring the mischievous creatures to a whole new generation (the currently untitled movie is tentatively scheduled for a 2010 release). In parallel, IMPS (International Merchandising, Promotion & Services) which runs the Smurf empire, is working on its own new cutting-edge animation that could revive the dormant television series once again.
That would be very cool, I think a new smurf video game is definitely long overdue. Also, have you seen the reports that it will be an 'Interactive' movie?
This possibly could mean that a game is out as well?
