I usually get a Metro on my way to work, and read it on the station platform whilst waiting for the train. Today I opened it and there was an article on the smurfs..a large picture of Smurfette and a photo of Nine Culliford and some artistic smurfs. I rushed back up the stairs and grabbed 3 more copies :) I'll scan the article and put it online for all to see later
Long, long ago, deep in the forest, there was a hidden village where tiny creatures lived. They called themselves the Smurfs. They were good.

The article itself isn't brilliant, but it's just good to see an article about the smurfs in the UK

Hi Steve,

would you do a favour for me, please?I believe that the tour is coming to London, for London is the capital of the UK. However I highly doubt that they come to my federal country, but to Berlin only. In case you happen to find, not only one raw, but another one as well, would you please so kind and save him for me? :?

I like the photo of the family with all those painted smurfs. Someone's been very artistic.

I hope by "Look for Smurfs in eah city" That they have stands/stalls giving them away... They couldn't actually litter bushes and sidewalks with them, could they? :-?

It must have been a very nice suprise seeing the article and I have to say, the pic (I just checked Dom's link) is fabulous. I want all those whacky smurfs!

I checked through quite a few newspapers at lunchtime but couldn't find anything smurfy. :???:

Hi Steve!

I got a copy of that last night from my friend in London, who as a non-Smurf collecter made a very good observation, which was:

"I don't understand what this article is about? Isn't it just basically "Old Cartoon introduces new female characters?"

To make a fair point, it's hardly page 3 metro stuff is it? Why did they run the story without mentioning the city celebrations? It seems a bit random!

:-?

Hi Azrael..I know it seemed a bit weird to not include the 50th celebrations :-?

They give these metro's out on our buses, and when i went into work on Wednesday night, i was greeted by 3 of my mates holding it up in the canteen ! Needless to say, by the time i left, more than 3 people now know i am a smurf collector ! It was a good laugh tho, and i did say to them.......Has your missus made page 3 ? :o

:-D
