The forum is looking very nice & chritmassy again - very festive :D

By the way, happy first of advent - today's the day to light the first candle on the advent wreath. This is a tradition in Germany & each advent Sunday another candle is lit until at Xmas all four candles are lit.

Is this a tradition in other countries as well?

In Denmark they have a calender candle. Just a candle with 24 numbers on it, and you burn one number every day until you reach 24... my bf has tried this 2 times, but he always ends up forgeting to burn it, so this year he gave up. ;)

This is also a Catholic tradition as well...possibly in other Christian religions but I don't know much about any others :) :)

Sorry I wasn't here to share it all with you guys......I was helping my friend move house...well not the actual house, but the items within his old house into his new house......it was as much fun as moving house can be.....although there were lots of VBs drank and they kind of look Christmassy since they come in a green can with a dash of red and gold on it.

Looking very nice Rach.....but why snow for Christmas? Where's the surfboards, BBQs and sunburns? I guess I may find out why this year. :?

Sorry not coming any earlier. As I mentioned before, I was in Enschede with my parents on Saturday and we got stuck for almost two hours in a traffic jam on the way back. :) You did a great job, Rachel. Love the snow and the seasonal atavars attached to the sections. :D Happy belated 1st advent (as we say here in Germany) and happy belated Sinterklaas to our Dutch and to the Flemish friends. :D
