For the never ending story about overcharged shipping expenses, here's what just happened to me:
I won for about 1 euro the following stickers (nothing fancy but the final price of the auction was low) and now the seller is asking me 10.40 $ for shipping! No way!
I just e-mailed him or her to tell that it should cost less than 3 dollars.
No reply yet.

You are right, it should be about $3.60US for a first class regular envelope. BUT they are probably using the priority mail rate which is $11!!!!! So that is where the difference lies. Hopefully they will adjust and send it regular mail to you. Use this link to send the seller if needed:

Unfortunately this does seem to be a growing problem Paolo, I'll keep my fingers crossed you get this resolved.

A very high overcharge has happened to me a couple of times with international sellers, but most of the times there is a difference of about one or two euros/dollars between postage costs and what I actually paid for shipping and that can be fine if you consider handling.
But Italian sellers always want to ship registered and often overcharge when the final auction price is low. I often had to ask for priority mail and in one occasion the seller lived less than 1km from where I work and refused me to pick the item up at his house and at the end he shipped registered!

Some sellers are just such jerks! I recently won three folders that weigh a little more than a few pieces of paper...they want to charge $15 when it should be $2 or $3 for regular mail I have emailed three times asking for a CORRECT postage quote and even sent them the link plus three different prices. Needless to say I have heard nothing either. They are selling the other 2 folders with shipping at $5 which I pointed out as well. Still nothing so we'll see where this goes Ebay really should set a rule to have a max of like $1 or $2 for handling (for special packaging or materials, not just because you didn't get the amount you wanted) and charge actual postage prices.

The seller kindly agreed to send the stickers for 3.20 dollars.

But now I have a favour to ask to one of our US members. I won another item from a different seller and it seems that she is not willing to ship to Italy. Can I ask for a relay-shipment to a US address? I will pay for your shipping costs and send you some gifts (the last spare pogs I've left that I won't need anymore for trades since I completed my sets).

Not exactly.
The stickers arrived this morning with a 0.90$ stamp.
I e-mailed the seller telling her that she will not receive a positive feedback (I won't leave a negative one either, I just won't leave anything for her).

No, you can also leave a neutral feedback (or like I did, just leave nothing).

I would leave a neutral then.
That way you can warn other buyers about shipping charges by this seller.

I never read positive feedbacks, but you can be sure as hell that I'll read all neutral and negative ones.

That's very typical of some sellers Paolo.....I don't like it much either.

I just got out of trouble with my ebay sales....when I went to invoice for postage I accidentally added the total of the items in as well. The buyer paid me $22 postage when it should of only been about $4.

I sent him an email about 10 minutes after he paid and apologised and promised to refund him the difference. The guy said he thought it was too high, but didn't want to get a negative feedback so he paid it......poor thing.

I will try not to make that mistake again....but blatantly ripping people off on postage is just so wrong. For me personally, it always tends to happen in America more than anywhere else......Australia is not far behind at all either. The sellers really get a little nasty when you point out that you don't really want to pay 5 times the actual postage.

I am glad you aren't leaving them a positive feedback Paolo.....they really don't deserve one

After all she is from Ohio and when I was in Cincinnati I met only good people!
