I'm a bit confused about this one...

In all lists I can find, the boxer is only listed as "the new boxer" in the regulars, and the old as super smurf.
Only I don't remember we ever having them as supers (and we have 2). I have checked with my brother, since these are his, and he confirms my recolections, that they're not super smurfs.

Anyone know if these were ever released as regulars but without a regular nº? :scratchinghead:

Hi Sandra,
There is a regular boxer and a super boxer - the difference is the number and the colors on them.

This is the regular boxer, 20419, has yellow shirt and socks, and red/white gloves:

The super boxer, 40508, has red shirt and white socks, and brown/white gloves:

I borrowed these off Rach's website to show the difference :D

I know about the new boxer and the super smurf.

The "problem" I have is that neither me or my brother remember having this smurf as a super smurf, and they're rather old, so can't be the new boxer. Also they have the colors of the super smurf and not the new one.

I think though, that if we had have them as super, we would likely remember the punching bag... no?

Posted a pic of them, sorry it's not that good quality.

Hi Sandra

I too have the super smurf boxer without his punching bag. This was how I bought him when I first started collecting smurfs and I didn't realise that he was in fact a super. I wonder if you have done the same?? I hope this helps. :-D

My first boxer was also the super missing the punching ball... :)

But now I have the new one and the complete super, but it is very interesting, that so many have him uncompletly... :-D :)

But what could be else..? Maybe you got them not in a shop and with missing parts from the beginning on? :-?

I think that this probably has happened...You see this smurf sold a lot of times without the punching bag by sellers who either don't know this is the super smurf or sellers who know it but won't mention it....I have this one four times, but only two punching bags and didn't know for the longest that there was actually a real difference in colors between the regular and the super smurf one :D

I agree, as far as I know, the older boxer smurf was only available as a super smurf originally although you do often see him being sold with the accessories. :D

Why is it called "common sense" when it is so rare.......

Well, they're my brother's, that much I know. And they were bought when we were kids, that much I also know.
Now, where he got them I'm not sure, I'll try and ask him later if he remembers - like maybe buying some at a flee marked or something like that. Though I'm pretty sure they're all store bought...

They were not bought online, or in any auction.

PS - Is there something to fix the smurf to it's base? Like a hole or a spike on his foot?
