My smurf buying is usually restricted to 3 times a year. The first smurfs get bought in the New Year with my Xmas money, the second ones are the new releases & the third ones are bought in summer from my birthday money.

I buy the occasional smurf here & there if I see one but don't have a large budget unfortunately. If I see something smurfy then I buy it - like the mustard jars I've been collecting (they only cost 99 cents each & come with free mustard :) )

Does this include all the variations as well?
:D
Nooooooooooooooo :) If I'd collected all the variations as well I'd be living on the street :-D I do have a few variations of a few smurfs but I don't actively seek them.
What about all the promo smurfs? Do you collect those? :-D
I do have a few promos but none of the dearer/ harder to find ones yet :D

To be honest, I cannot resist any decent fleamarket in my federal country... But since I am a poor student, I try not to spend more than 50 Euros per months on smurfs. However, since I got in touch with a seller last months, I highly doubt, that I am going to follow my own rule. :-D :flush:

I search thrift store and other 'used' outlets every chance I get - but actually finding a smurf there is a rare thing. If I find it, I'll buy it. I'll buy on ebay if it's a wonderful deal that I can't pass up...probably down to every couple of months. Needless to say my collection is growing slowly. :wishing:

Hello Smurfycate, it does'nt matter how slow your collection grows, its the fact that you keep the interest there, and that you do buy from time to time, thats the important thing :D

:-D

Hi everyone

I found the right answer now.
I buy my smurfs whenever I can't find none of those others and those horses on ebay. I should buy them from somewhere else because I can't see on the pictures if they are in good condition, have a rubbed nose or if it's just the reflection of the light from the camera.

Yours truly
Gert

In the good old days I had a monthly budget which I tried not to go over by too much.

Nowadays, I limit my purchases once a year to the eight new releases. A local toy store sells the new smurfs for $2 each, and sometimes I pick up a few duplicates just because.

My problem is Playmobil.
