Yes, I saw on the news it was 45 in Adelaide. Ouch!! Hope you were able to stay cool.
I get very nervous at any temperature above 40, as I remember Ash Wednesday in 1983 and of course Black Saturday in 2009. My friends lost their home in Marysville.
It is 8.30pm now in Melbourne and it is still 41 degrees. Cool change is due before midnight.
Just heard there are bushfires in Tasmania! Hottest day on record for them. Over 80 homes destroyed. Terrible...
I "like" a Sydney radio station on Facebook and heard of that heat wave...I hope everybody Down Under is ok

Has been hot across most of Australia for the past week. It hasn't been too hot in Melbourne, but there have been many bushfires in most states in Australia with a lot of properties destroyed.
There was a couple of picture's in today's newspaper that I thought I'd share with you. This is a family in Tas who lost their home and they huddled together in a lake under a jetty whilst their dog kept watch as the fire passed.
So sad and terrible, but no lives have been lost thanks to the hard work of our fire brigades.
