Petee

I wanted to post a quick heads up to everybody, that I may not be particularly active on the forum for the next days..and also not be very responsive to messages or e-mails.

Petee, who has been with me ever since moving here, probably had a stroke yesterday, and while I know that normally a dog can recover from this, given his advanced age and the fact that he refuses to eat and drink it is not looking good. The good news is that he knows me again (for a while he didn't know me yesterday) and does not seem to be in paid.

Right now I am doing all I can to make him comfortable and love on him, which is the least I can do for my old friend..and of course this takes up pretty much of my spare time.

Thank you....He was actually walking today and also drinking (huge relief for me). While he obviously had a stroke and won't ever be the same, he clearly shows he is a tough one and we may have dodged a bullet for now. For how long, only God knows..but right now we take it one day at a time :D

It looks like we dodged a huge bullet...Friday, I wasn't sure he would make it thru the weekend..but look at him today

Image

He is still disoriented and probably will always stay like this, but he is eating and drinking and daily gaining strength. He is still soooo skinny and weak because he hasn't really eating between Tuesday-Friday, but I know I can do something about that
