Usually, I try to avoid posts about "non smurfy" subjects, but today is such a nice sunny ( last one?) day, after all the cold rainy days we just had. Autumn had really begun here ( spiders, fog, mushrooms, heating on)
The gardenhouse needed to be repaired after the birds destroyed it by picking too many straws.
And I just love to watch the thatchers ( correct word?) do their job with this! plus all the traditional tools.
Everything done by hand in the oldfashioned way! It`s fantastic to see!

I really enjoyed these pictures, Lia. Thanks for posting them.

Love the fact you had it done the old time way..and the outcome looks perfect.

Do you mind sending some of the rain over here? We are still in one of our worst dry spells..the only rain we get is some 15 minutes storms...which come every two week or so...and it's still hot :sun: (but no longer unbearable hot)

That is a very nice house. :-D

I love when people try to preserve the old style.

And it is also nice to see old knowledge about these ways to build and that it is not forgotten. :D

Hi Lia

Why not another topic with no smurfs this time.............

Very nice to see that old handcraft still excist.

Seems like a very nice house to put a smurf collection in :-D
