Hi guys,

I recently read that geocities will be closed later this year.

Thus, I would invite you to import your site on jimdo. It's very easy to use, plus the team is very friendly and helpful.

For more information, go to: http://www.jimdo.com/geocities

They can also upgrade to the Webhosting program offered by Yahoo. That's what I am using. It works like geocities and yahoo does the upgrading
Can I prepare for GeoCities closing now?
All of our GeoCities customers can continue to enjoy their sites and GeoCities services until later this year. You don't need to change your service today, but we encourage anyone interested in a full-featured web hosting plan to consider upgrading to our award-winning Yahoo! Web Hosting service.

Yahoo! Web Hosting includes a personalized domain name (such as widgetdesigns.com) and matching email, new site building tools, unlimited disk space and bandwidth, premium customer support, and more. See details.

yeah I read this the other day. my website is a free geocities so I'll have to look for some hosting and hopefully a domain name. I've been meaning to get around to doing this anyway, so this will push me to finally do it.

Think my geocities sites were gone from the last time Geocities stopped free hosting... and then I never figured out why some sites disapeared (like mine) and others continued.... :-?
