I know we have members in Italy but I am not sure how close everybody was to the major earthquake.

I hope you and your families are ok

Me too. I was watching the news yesterday evening & it was shocking to see the devastation in Italy.

Probably I am one of the few who lived an earthquake.
Or better, 2.
One on May, 6th, 1976; the second in September, same year.

More than 900 persons died here.

So, you can imagine my (our) feelings in these days.

I'll never forget the dark horrible sound of death.
Other feelings and terrible stories are in my hearth.

But my message to our brothers in Abruzzo is that it's important to start again. The entire Nation is helping them. They are not alone.

Good to see you are safe Max :D
Long, long ago, deep in the forest, there was a hidden village where tiny creatures lived. They called themselves the Smurfs. They were good.

Nothing happened were I live.
But these days I'm in Rome for work and this morning when I arrived in the bank and later at around 8 pm local time when I had just checked-in my hotel room we felt some after-shocks that anyway didn't cause any damage here due to the distance from the center of the earthquake.
I don't remember the '76 quake, but my mother told me that she carried me in her arms down the stairs in the middle of the road when it happened (I was 2).

Only me to be so "spaced out" to not even know what's happening in the world... again...

Hope all is well with our smurfy friends, and my thoughts are with those that lost family and friends. :(
There are those who believe that life here began out there...
