It seems a lot of people are either planning their summer vacations or are already taking them.

I was wondering where everybody is planning on spending their summer vacation this year, or if you are going anywhere at all.

I will stay here this summer again, except for maybe a weekend trip, as I am planning a trip to Germany in November/December.

We're going to the the south-east coast of England for 2 weeks from the 21st of June. We're staying in a caravan / chalet park in Hastings & for the 1st week my parents & my sister & family are staying there too so it'll be great for us all to meet up.

We're hoping to go to London with the kids & also to the 'Battle of hastings' site to get some history input. I've never been to the area as I come from the south-west so it'll be a nice change for me too.

I'm really looking forward to it but I'm going to have to brush up on my English first.... I'll have to watch all my Fawlty Towers DVDs first :) :)

Just going "home" to Portugal and spend my summer there, we ended up canceling our trip to Paris this year, and hope that next year Easter isn't as early as this year was...
There are those who believe that life here began out there...

Tojo, give me a shout when you are in London..I have something here for you that I could keep until June for you :D
Long, long ago, deep in the forest, there was a hidden village where tiny creatures lived. They called themselves the Smurfs. They were good.

I'll do that Steve :D I think we'll probably do a day trip so that the kids can see some of the sights. They've never been to London before so I think it'll be a real eye opener for them. I'll contact you before we go to England so we can try to make contact :D

Are you guys thinking what I'm thinking :winks:

I am never planning on going anywhere but seem to end up going everywhere.

The only big plans I have is driving across the US in the next couple of weeks through states such as Pennsylvania, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Wisconsin, Iowa, Nebraska, Colorado, Utah, Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Tennessee (God help me), South & North Carolina, Virginia, Maryland & Delaware. After that I'm going to bed.

I drove up to Scranton, Pennsylvania today (where the US version of The Office is set) and that city was almost as amazing as the Wilmington Riverfront......which craps all over a portaloo.

Other than that I may head to the north eastern states of the US and will end up back in Hawaii on my way back home......I left my pineapple there. :-?

Dyar

PS - the hotel had great pornapple on the tv which can get kind of fruity :D

PPS - Not that I was allowed to see it.....but then again....who wants to see pineapple rings :o

Just reading about all the states has me exhausted :o How many states will that be, two a day?

Actually, this is a dream of mine, to go on a roadtrip thru the US. Last year a coworker of mine helped her brother move back from Alaska to Tennessee. She flew to Alaska and both drove by car back home. I think they made it in about a week but had soooo much fun :-D

the longest car trip I have taken so far in the States is from here to Memphis..which wasn't always fun but I wouldn't mind doing it again :winks:

I hope to manage to stay with Manni at his tiny red house in Sweden again. I went there about three years ago and we had a lovely time being there. :D
