Hi all, well after many discussions about ranks and a few races going on I have sorted the ranks out.

We now have new icons - Normal smurfs, Gold smurfs and Papa smurfs. You start with normal smurfs then progress onto gold, papa smurfs are for the admin smurfs.

Here are the ratings:

New Smurf Member - 0

Smurf Member - 5

Super Smurf Member - 20

Promo Smurf Member - 50

Special Smurf Member - 100

Ultimate Smurf Member - 200

Ultimate Smurf Member - 300

Ultimate Smurf Member - 500

Ultimate Smurf Member - 1000

Ultimate Smurf Member - 1500

Ultimate Smurf Member - 2000

Now as you can see we have a problem.

Due to frazzled brains from making all the new icons I can't think of new names for the new ranks. I don't know if we should start from scratch or just think of a few extra ones. Any ideas?

Would it be possible for people to maybe pick their own rank names? I know on Cleo's board I had changed mine to Flip Flop Smurf.

It's just an idea so there would be diversity.

Hi Lacey, nice idea.

I have just checked, we can't have the different ranks linked to quantity of posts if we do that, so sorry answer is no.

Cleo didn't use the ranks so that's why you could do it there.

I like the icons! Very nice work.
Names... Someone already suggested Baby Smuf for a newbie.
What else can we have: Smurf, Promo, Super, Papa, Brainy, Playset, Mushroom (Badger?), Hefty, ...

How about naming each rank by corresponding rare figure.

0 - Roller Skate Smurfette
5 - Tennis Star

and so on, and the highest rank could be I Love NY Smurf!

Not a very good idea but what about bronze silver and gold smurfy members?? Or platinum ect ect??

The new icons are really nice Rachel and I think an improvement on what they were before.

I think I agree with Fram that we could have Baby Smurf as the first one and them maybe Smurflings because the posting is going off and we will need more icons eventually. However this may be tough with just giving heads as for a baby you would need to show them crawling or something. so it was clear.

I will have a think about it all and post any new ideas that have nothing to do with Carrots, S/ette Rollerskaters, Fish Fillets and Kate Beckinsale....if I am able.

Transcendant Smurf Member
Sublime Smurf Member
Optimum Smurf Member
Monumental Smurf Member
Extraordinary Smurf Member

Thats about all I can come up with. They prolly suck - I'm just throwing some words around for you.

Star smurf
bronze star smurf
silver star smurf
gold star smurf
flying star smurf

I wonder if maybe we should have an international approach and let people in different parts of the world decide on one name each.

So everyone in Belgium chooses one name

The Aussies choose another name

Canadians choose a name

US's choose a name

UK peoples choose a name (does Rachel deserve to choose for Wales? LOL)

French choose a name

Finnish choose a name

Swedes chooses a name

etc etc

We could say to for example the Aussies go away and choose a newbie type rank, the Canadians rank 2 type name, etc. so people knew what sort of name was needed. If a country can't decide then they can have a poll and vote on it?

Just my ideas anyway. Oh and the names wouldn't have to be in English, they can be in the language of choice, OMG what have I said, what will the Aussies come up with?

Nothing to do with fluff I hope!!

It would be like the Eurovision Song Contest, except worldwide, lol.

I am sure us Aussies can come up with something for someone who is inexperienced .....we will try to keep it above the waist. I think it's great that I have more comrades down here these days and they all seem quite creative and fun so I am sure that won't be a problem.
