More Sockels

Heres some sockels that arrived in the last two weeks. I've been after the "I Hate Mondays" one for a while. He's just got so much character! the Happy Birthday one was cheap so I got him and I'd never seen a gardener one before so I had a go at that one too.

Does anyone know anything about the gardener one?? I was thinking its probably a fake as I have never seen one before. I had a look in the DSK but couldn't find it. There is a digger smurf with the same base (pg 245 #17a). I'm not sure what it translates to but I was thinking the digger and the gardener probably would have something similar. Any thoughts???

Hi Linda

I love that Grouchy one and I agree he has so much character. I have been trying to win that one as well without luck.

Hopefully David will be able to help with the sockel....i figure I would just ask him if I needed to know anything sockel wise.

Nice new additons :D

Linda,
I am not sure about the gardener....

I am having a hard time reading it, but I think it says "Today we let others work. All the best""

so it actually fits with the smurf... :D

Hi Linda,

I think I spotted that gardener too on eBay. I bought another one from the same seller for which I could not find any reference elsewhere.

Although I also have received dubvious items recently (well a couple actually, I'll tell you more about that when I can take some pics), I don't think I don't think it was from that same seller... I'll check...

Cheers,

David

I agree, I think the Grouchy "I hate Mondays" is one of my favourites too, such a great combination. :)

Yeah that seller had quite a few sockels I had never seen before. I had a good look at the base though and there doesn't seem to be any excess glue or markings where another smurf used to be from what I can see. Whereas the jungle one I bought (from another seller) does have markings that look like it has had a different smurf and then the jungle added. Hope you can see what I mean from these pics.

Very nice Sockels Linda!! I too really like the Grouchy one :D The Farmy one is great too. I've never thought of putting his rake that way round - it looks like he's going to wack someone round the ears with it :)

Hi Linda,

I can't agree more regarding the jungle one! That's terrible!!! :x

Regarding the gardener: I have check the auction I was referring to: It is not you won so we are talking about 2 different sellers, which is a good sign!

I'll see if I can find anything else regarding this farmer sockel or the junglie...

Cheers,

David
