Today, at this time, I´m out of humour!!!!!!!!!!I was watching two nice smurfs at ebay...I always bid at the end... it´s a bad habit, I know...

Well today I have been outbidded in the last ten seconds for the same buyer...I don´t want to say his name ( I hope not to finf him at Brussels.... :duel: :o :o :o :o...The first outbid has been only for 0,5 €, and the in other one, my computer has said to me "the auction is finished" :( :( :( And the worst is that I was dispossed to pay double amount the winner has paid...I´m angry, sad, irritable but with some euros more in my bank...Perhaps the only good thing about it that I will have more money to spend in Brussels...

Do you know if there is any medicine to have when someone outbid????????????Perhaps to continue buying smurfs?

AHHHHHHHHHHH, what a horrible smurfy day!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi JOAQUÍN, I know that feeling well.

Sometimes I feel sad / angry for days but then I win another one, something I want even more and it feels better again. Plus you have more money for Brussels now. :-D

This will cheer you up. :D

A few years ago, I lost out on the football smurf with yellow ball,

first I missed an auction because my computer was too slow, :badpc:

secondly I missed out because I had my husband to bid (a huge amount) because I was in work. I was nervous all morning and phoned a few minutes after the end of the auction, he FORGOT

I bought the smurf THIS year at the Passion. :joy:

Well, that is true, but I wonder if I will find "those" smurfs I have lost in Brussels...and when I think about it, I begin to :( again...
You never know...... :fingersx:

Hi Joaquin,
I know what you mean.... :(

this has happened to me, too before and I think it is so much worse when you are being outbidded during the last seconds by just a few cents.... :banghead: :aargh:

Hope you will find some very rare and wonderful smurfs in Brussels to make up for it. :balloons:

Whew. :relieved: ... I just double checked the two auctions I won, and I don't think it was me who outbidded you...whew again :relieved: :) :)

This is not going to happen to me...I don´t think my wife forget to bid............................well, the truth is I have no wife :) :) :) What did your husband say? Simply I forgot it? :banghead: :banghead:

Don´t worry, Maureen...I prefer a friend outbid me than a unknown buyer with a horrible nickname...I hope not to find him in Brussels :argue: :argue: ...I have just remember I win you the rugby smurf from Lucie and Simon!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I can´t imagine your pupils´face...What´s the matter with our music teacher´s marriage? Are they discussing only for a smurf? :) :) :)

Rachel, did you know I was a teacher a few years ago? I taught chemistry in a secondary school... :???: :???:

:lol3:

I had been talking about this smurf all morning and they all knew how nervous I was. It was okay they because they were all on my side. :)

Don't worry, my poor husband didn't stay in the bad books for very long.

No, I don't think I knew you were a Chemistry teacher. Do you still teach? Did / do you enjoy it? :sherlock:

After my secondary school,I spent five years of my life studying Chemistry ( my speciality was Organic Chemistry)...The next year I prepared a " competitive examination" to Secondary School, and I began to teach in 1998...The truth is that I love chemistry, I think I was a not bad teacher, and I have taught in very good schools...But suddenly, after four years teaching, I decided to change my life 180 º...I left the school, and returned to live with my family...And in 2003, I opened a big store with child and baby clothes with one of my sisters... :) :)

Sorry to hear about your bad smurfy day Joaquin..I had one of those last week..I got outbidded on a green roofed house AGAIN!!! it went for 72 euros..I knew I should have put 100..but then a few days later I got the french rugby, and all was okay again..I know I'll get a green roofed house sometime..I'd better, or there will be trouble :o :)
Long, long ago, deep in the forest, there was a hidden village where tiny creatures lived. They called themselves the Smurfs. They were good.

Hi Joaquin,

I feel sad for you :( :( I know how bad that is, and so frustrating!

I've had one buyer to that to me at least 10 times now..

I think they must have one of those special services, that lets you bid

in the last seconds, advertised on EBAY. not sure

I have beat them a few times by going really high, but its cost me! ugh!

hope you will be ok!

I had one of these moments on the weekend.
I haven't had a smurf purchase in the past month or so.
Saw an item I thought, I might buy that. Placed a bid. Got on the next morning, 5mins left, outbidded. Placed in another couple bids but still didn't get above the other bidder. But I decided to leave it.. went too high for what I wanted to pay at the moment. It was an Azrael plush with tag. I have really wanted to buy this and the Gargamel soft toys. They look really great. So I was a little disappointed.. I should have just went for it.

Brad.

I love the plush of these two aswell, i got the gargamel round a booty for only 50p but the azrael has so far escaped me :( and when i do find one it goes for far too much than i am prepared to pay. :???:

But one day I will :?

Smurfy regards

That is interesting to hear. Even though I was useless at chemistry I always enjoyed the lessons as they were often practical rather than just writing.

I know a lot of teachers who have decided to have a go at another job. I think teaching is a very stressful job but luckily I only have to teach small groups not large classes and I only teach cello and double bass which I love doing. :-D
