Today's finds and wins

Mr Bunno's aunty found some smurfs at a local market in Perth so I went and had a look today. The lady was selling them for only $3AU each so I grabbed the harder to find ones and ones in good condition. I got one smurf variation I did not already have also.
The funniest thing was when I went to leave after buying the 14 smurfs. I was looking around for Phil and the lady said, "Oh are you going to get into trouble for spending so much" I just laughed and said , "No". If only she knew I have spent more than the $42 on just one smurf on ebay!
I also won the last three Christmas ornament smurfs I need to complete the Christmas smurfs on ebay today: candycane, Christmas gift and Papa with sack. (Sorry Maureen, I think I saw you trying to win one of those lots I already had a bid on)

Linda,
I am looking forward to the pictures of today's find, if you post them
I am in Perth at the inlaws but once I get home to my own computer I will take a pic of them. This is what I got:
Two head chefs, a mechanic (don't get excited Dyar, it didn't have purple overalls!), 2 mirrors, earache, drummer, pointing/laughing, sleepwalker, first aider, prisoner, coin, kinder accordian and I am not sure about the last one...soccer with red shirt and white dot on it, he's missing the soccer ball from his peg though so I hope I can find a replacement. He's the one I don't have yet.
I don't need two of the four smurfs in that auction I won, Maureen (the Christmas tree and the caroller) so let me know if you want them and we can arrange something if you want.

You never know, Maureen
I've heard about this flea market and would love to go but that's like a 15 hour drive for me
Good luck!!

thanks Staci,
actually I found some smurfs there a few years ago, 10 smurfs for $20.00, I was so excited to find smurfs at all, I bought them....
I live right around the corner of HWY 127, just about 10 miles up the mountain, but I still drive up to Kentucky for the better bargains..
Hey Linda,
thanks for the offer.. I actually have a set of them already but bidded on them because I thought a second set may look nice on the Christmas tree..
. Maybe somebody else on the forum needs them?

Nice finds Linda and congratulations on getting your missing Xmas smurfs.
Good luck with your smurf hunt Maureen, I wish I could go to places where I thought I might find smurfs.

Here's the pics of the smurfs.
Can anyone tell me what the soccer one is?? Is it an International team one?? USA??
His markings are:
On foot:
mustard dot
On shorts:
1978
Peyo
Schleich
On shirt:
2
He's pretty dirty but I think will clean up ok.

I have that one Linda, I didn't realise at first
I have listed him as USA on my website but I am not 100% convinced this is the case as I don't agree with the DSK that there are that many USA soccer players smurfs as first mentioned by Rach I think last year.....I think that's a higher amount than actual soccer players in the USA
Does anyone have any opinions on this one as I would be intertested to hear them as well.

Thanks Dyar. So that answer was "I have no idea??"
If anyone has a spare soccer ball...I think its white??? or a badly rubbed soccer smurf with a removeable white ball I can buy I'd be interested in it to fix this one up.

Hi Linda, lovely pic.
The soccer smurf is one of the ones that was being discussed.
As it has the dot on the shirt and is also marked with a mustard dot this is one of the smurfs that I personally don't think is a USA team but in fact a UK team, this one possibly being Arsenal. I did ask Frank Oswald about them at the time and he agreed that he wasn't sure of the origin of these smurfs and that the DSK was probably wrong to have them listed as USA teams.
Here is a bit more info:

Nice info Rach...I think it's more plausible than calling them USA teams especially having so many USA variations which makes even less sense....and Linda, you're right....the only thing I am sure of is that I have no idea when it comes to these.
I think when I bought mine the guy said to me it was actually Bayern Munich from the Bundesliga....even though these are not Bundesliga Smurfs which is why I didn't label it as such on the site and went with USA as I didn't know any better.
